Located just off the US-1 motorway, Embassy Suites San Luis Obispo is less than a 5-minute drive from the Madonna Plaza shopping center, Sunset Drive-In and Laguna Lake. The center of San Luis Obispo is 2.8 mi away and features an old town, Fremont Theater and Mission Plaza. Avila Beach is a 15-minute drive away and Morro State Park is less than 30 minutes' drive away. A complimentary breakfast is offered to guests every day. All suites at the San Luis Obispo Embassy offer mini-refrigerators, microwaves and coffeemakers. After a busy day, guests can watch cable channels on one of the 2 in-suite TVs. At the San Luis Obispo Embassy Suites, guests can go for a swim in the indoor pool or take advantage of the fitness center. After getting work done in the business center, guests can take the short drive to Avila Beach.

Cons -
- Entrance door still open late night and everybody can come inside no matter what if you pay for a room or not in my opinion at late night the door has to be closed and only the guest who pays for the room will be able to go inside with the key room
- very difficult to locate. Address is on one road but one must go down another road through a strip mall complex to get to the hotel.
- Rooms extremely dated and dirty. The room I was put in smelled strongly of urine. I moved rooms, but thermostat in new room did not work. I was too exhausted to move again. Not a 3 star hotel, 1 star. Free parking was a listed amenity but I got charged.
