- Close to restaurants, shopping, and trolley. Located on market street.
- Charming historic building (despite building's age, good hot water and water pressure). Friendly staff.
- Good price, clean rooms great location
Cons -
- Room is not equipped for two people. Bed small, room small and not clean.
- Wifi was very bad in the room and I had to use my hot spot instead. Road noise is significant for rooms that face Market Street (common sense; bring earplugs).

The total cost of the room was under ---- when i got there they tried to rip me off by wanting to charge me another 1k. There is no gym even though the description said there is. They make you leave your key with staff and the main entrance is locked.
Bathroom was good size
Area was horrible homeless people everwhere loud noises the maid never cleaned are room
The staff.
Market Street has become very sketchy. Too bad the front door of the Aida must be locked at all times - only opened to allow a guest to enter.
Character. When the main lobby is done and cleaned up it could be very desirable and very quaint 30¿s era vibe about it with small tiled floor still in great shape. Right off airport BART to Civic center exit.Hotel a block away.1 BART transfer before SF
I always like seeing hotel employee
I was sorry to see that the double entry doors have been reduced to one locked door due to crime, but the remodel looks wonderful - blends in with the rest of the lobby.
Nice staff. Helpful. Clean rooms. Interesting lobby with old juke boxes decor and interesting old refurbished furniture in public spaces. Bathrooms in every room.
Hotel is a good value. Rooms are fine. Lobby and hallways very nice. Mybe not perfect for a female by herself, but guys or pairs will be quite comfortable.
The City itself hurts the hotel...there are sooooo many homeless encampments around it is crazy!
Location. Quirky hotel - I liked it!!
They claimed to serve breakfast! Where I'm from donuts is not breakfast and not even continental breakfast! That was disappointing.
There seemed to be clean-ish sheets on the bed
Yes - Giving the Key back whenever you left the hotel felt like a total violation of the agreement. I constantly felt when I left I had to hope my things weren't gone through.
Proximity to theaters etc. Lots of attractions in downtown San Fran are in or near some of the smelliest areas of town. This is one of those places. If you can ignore the panhandlers the city is within walking distance of your bed.
The price and star rating were higher than that of the Hilton. The tiny room and the dodgy shared bathroom were definitely not comparable to the Hilton. I don't know how old this place is but it is as nice as one might expect for something over ---
I love the location of the hotel. I was on the 6th floor and the room was quite. I did not mind having shared bathroom and toilets they were always clean. I did not see a lot of people waiting in lines to use the facilities. I had a great view. No bed bug
If the rooms had a ceiling fan that would be great. Otherwise it was great.
Great Location especially for for this price range. On the block access to Metro, BART, trolley and cabs. Hotel was decent. Good Value.
Elevator was slow. Shared bathroom and shower.
The hotel is very close to BART station has elevator and other places to eat CVS on next corner for snacks and other needs
no private bathroom
Convenient location, friendly staff, clean room.
Bus stops are just a few feet from the door. Convenience stores and restaurants are also not far away.
The old elevator sometimes won't respond to a call. A few times I had to ask someone at the desk to open it. Many times it closes too soon, hurting my right arm.
The staff are nice enough and accommodating.
If carpet were replaced, I could deal with a lot of other issues. Overall, it was pretty clean for what it was, but the location is horrible and need for renovations is very severe.
Great proximity to Muni & BART. The staff was very nice and the rooms were very clean
Don't let the smell in the lobby deter,, the rooms were nice, clean & fresh. Not a great choice for small kids - couldn't plug the tub for a bath & the water temp fluctuated from freeze to burn very quickly. The Windows were also original, low & dange
