The Urban Hotel San Francisco

Friendly staff. Old, outdated hotel but clean. 24h staffed.

I had a room facing a very noisy road. I wish I would have known that there was no AC in the room. Traffic noise, urine, and marijuana smell all day long. The hotel was hard to find. There is only a very small sign next to the entrance, hardly visible.

the room had limited things like TV, coffee maker, cups for drinking water. Cups and maybe some bottled water in the fridge would have been nice.

I really liked the hotel. It's clean, contemporary and nice. No in-room bathroom but the shared br/showers are kept fairly clean. The room is small but very cozy with a lot of light. The stay felt right, I felt very comfortable. Also, Location is great.

There was a loud intermittent clicking noise and it was bothersome. If it was constant and consistent, at least I could complain about it when I heard it. Overall value and for the quality at the star level this hotel is, I would stay again.

 He greeted me at 4am with such professionalism and kindness & helped me was very heavy suitcase! All staff there are amazing! Location is awesome! (I arrived after a long drive and my reservation at another hotel had been cancelled.)

location was great, safer area in downtown San Diego, right across from the dragon's gate. Lots of nice restaurants and shops nearby.

Dirty shower rooms, no hot water (we had to take a cold water shower in 6 am in a SF morning - quite chilly even in summer month. A front desk lady did not show any sympathy or apology about the issue, instead she complaint all guests get mad at h

Everything. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and as expected in San Francisco the room was small but was bigger than I was expecting. My view of the street was nice. Showers were clean. Within walking distance of everything. Better than expected

Water tempter and toilets were not working properly

The location was the best. Also the decoration, cleanliness and attention.

Low price. Good design touches and closet space. Choice of various bathrooms (remember that if you don't like one bathroom, there are others to try - one on my floor smelled really mildewed because it was windowless, but the others were fine).

EXTREMELY thin walls and doors with no sound insulation at all - definitely no good if you need quiet or privacy. I heard every word my neighbors said, every snore from them (!), every door slam (bathroom & room doors all default to loud slams), etc.

The location of the hotel was great in between union square and Chinatown so close to lots of shops and restaurants

Very clean Hotel. Staff was super friendly and efficient. Great location. Near Burrit alley (of Maltese Falcon Fame).

There was no elevator. Rooms were compact, but great if you're on a budget or don't care about luxury.

The affordability and simplicity are what make this place a great choice. Couldn't ask for a better location. I felt completely safe and at home during my stay here!
