Hotel Union Square San Francisco

Location was good.

The $30 per person fee on top of the room charge to use the gym ( there is none at this hotel), drink water, use the internet and attend the wine social. The actual price was basically the same as staying in the nearby Hilton. Very noisy .

The problem was that the card reader battery gave out, therefore my hotel card was not accepted and this led to me being locked out of my room for several hours.

Staff and location were great

This place needs a redo in the rooms, stained carpet, really old peeling furniture, stained furniture in the rooms. Pictures are very misleading

When we arrived the man at the front desk tried charging us an additional $30 fee for some complimentary wine hour. We arrived way past the time it was and I m pregnant, so we refused until he reluctantly obliged not to charge us.

I love the prime location of the hotel being downtown San Francisco.

I didn't like that the hotel didn't offer certainty amenities at the price and star level it portrays. Also, the room could've been a bit cleaner than it was.

Funny the hotel charged me $15 per day additional cost. The staff said its mandatory for every customer, if so why not included in the price??? CHEATERS

Room had only a couple windows into light well that was totally blocked. Toilet barely flushed. Shower curtain too small. Poor ventilation and very hot - just portable a/c unit that couldn't get temperature below 75. Smelled like dog pee. 2-star room tops

Charged an additional $15/night fee. This was my first ever time paying an additional fee to the fees I already paid you guys. The staff was not empathetic, mentioning that their fee was unfortunate, and parking was like "paying for another room".

Locations was ok

Gave me a small interior room with no windows. Old radiator running all night that I couldn't turn off

Location, location, location baby! It was lively and centrally located to where I needed to be. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

No parking for guests that I was made aware of and the room was really quite dated. I felt as if the 3.5 star rating was pushing it just a bit.

Location was amazing

Front desk personal where a bit short in chatting with me. Also they were unable to find the "discount code" for Union Square, which is listed on their facility fee sheet.

location- right across from Walgreens on Powell- not as noisy as feared, rooms are clean, recently refurbished.

Gym is not located on premises, but they give you access at a nearby gym in a hotel on Geary. Walking hills of SF is good enough of a workout.

Room was too small, we were placed next to a suite that had loud parties both nights. There was plastic over the carpet in our hallway. Construction noise supporting renovations started earlier and extended later in the evening than promised.

The bathroom was small and there was no mini fridge.Other than that the location was great and staff was always friendly.

The room had a terrible odor that smelt as if it were embedded in the walls, floors etc. Made you wonder if this room and hotel has some toxins. Not pleasant at all. The health department or some environmental agency should find out the source.

Kids' suite and location

Awful booking customer service call center. Not helpful or friendly. Got overcharged multiple times upon checkout. Be weary of charges on your credit card. Will never go back to this hotel. Not recommending it to anyone either.

No safe, no menu.Tads room service. We tried to order after a long day and were told that the employee who does this called in sick so no food options were available. Not cool. We ordered take out and picked it up and it was bad.

Parking pricing is outrageous $55.00 + tax = $65!!! Yes, it is for the day but Parking structure next door would be better, around $36 and no taxes.
