Clean. Good breakfast. Polite staff for the most part. Excellent location.

One kitchen staff who did not provide good customer service.

The beds are very comfortable as in all Marriott hotels. The rooms are clean.

The hotel is in San Francisco downtown and there are a lot of homeless people everywhere. This is more of the probe of the city as a whole. The staff wasn’t welcoming and even though the breakfast was included, it was à la carte and they still expect tips and charge extra. So expect to spend additional money on breakfast even if it’s included in your stay. Mini bar is extremely expensive and there is no water dispenser. They also have this shady $15 credit per night that actually can’t be applied for the breakfast tips of mini bar. They charge for everything whenever they can. The valet parking is outrageous $85 per night!

Stuff was great and helpful. Especially Oscar. Great guy! Location nice, close to Union sq, and totally safe. Free coffee all the time in the lobby, We got free Cable car tickets, free drink every day, and bonus fee to use it at the restaurant. So, it it worth the money we paid.

Breakfast could have been better. Not that is not good, but somehow I expected more offers, instead of getting one coffee, one glass of juice, and mostly tacos and burrito from the meni early in the morning.

Great location, big convenient room

Complicated process with breakfast. We had to order each time our meal for the breakfast from the menu and waiting until the waiter will bring it. Sometimes waiting time was around 20-30 minutes, however we were in hurry and had to leave hotel quickly in the morning. Much more convenient when you pick up what you want as it’s usually done in other hotels, so you are not depended on waiters, e.t.c. Also I didn’t understand why for each breakfast we had to give tips, when it’s just usual service included in the hotel breakfast booking.

The hotel is a little gem. It is close to Union square and is in a good location for getting around the city. The hotel was clean and well presented. Our room was spacious and comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We had breakfast included in our price and I would definitely recommend it, as there was plenty to choose from off the menu and it was all delicious. It would have been very expensive if we had to pay separately for it.

Is not the hotel’s fault, but it is just on the edge of the Tenderloin area where the homeless are and so it’s not nice if you go out from the hotel in the wrong direction. I didn’t feel scared, but it’s shocking to see so many people in such a sad situation.

Excellent location, just a few blocks from Union Square. The bed was super comfortable. Staff is very friendly (for the most part).

I had different issues during my stay. The room wasn't very clean when I first entered. I was tired and didn't want to move to another one, but I let the manager know and requested that it be cleaned thoroughly the following day. Among other things, I let them know that the box covering the Kleenex was disgustingly sticky, and a piece of tissue remained in the box when I tried to clean it on my first day. Four days later, the piece of tissue was still there. They never cleaned it (photo).Breakfast is a hit or miss. Servers are friendly, and some items on the menu are very good, but it takes them 30 minutes (literally) to serve an omelet or a burrito. Don't go on a hurry or you won't be served on time. One of the most uncomfortable situations was when a member of the staff attempted to enter the room while my wife was alone in the shower, despite having the "do not disturb" sign on the door. The hotel is OK, but I won't stay again, and I wouldn't recommend it. There are many options in the city. Despite all the situations, the staff is friendly but, unfortunately, inefficient.

The hotel is very nice. The king deluxe room was quite spacious, the bed veru comfy. Everything was clean. Staff all very courteous and friendly. I appreciated the extra amenities included in the resort fee - champagne nightly, daily room credit, cable car tickets. The breakfast was actually very good - a la carte options such as eggs benedict, omelets and pancakes. Putting it all together it made for a great value stay.

The location is one of the downsides for me. Although it is extremely convenient in terms of public transportation (walking distance to Bart to airport, multiple bus lines and cable car nearby), that area of SF is just not nice anymore. The streets are dirty and dark, there a lot of unhoused people often intoxicated which makes the area feel very unsafe unfortunately. There are a lot of restaurants but most of the really good places are further west or south. I knew this when booking which is why I won't let it take too much from the rating. Second thing I did not like was that the room was supoosed to have a view but it just faced an alley and overlooked a restaurant, no view at all.Lastly, it is very loud from about 7pm-10pm with music from some club accross the street. It does get better at later hours but if you're someone who goes to bed early or just wants a quiet night in this can be an issue. We were facing the opposite way, I can only imagine it's even louder on the other side of the building.

Great hotel, a little less fancy as in the pictures. The breakfast was great and included. That is the major perk of this hotel

Next time I would start right at the bay. Union square itself is just a bit lifeless

The staff are exceptional, very kind and thoughtful. In particular Tuan and Chris at the front desk. They make sure you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. The bed was very comfy and the facilities were good quality - including a fully equipped gym (albeit small, it has everything you need). The hotel restaurant and bar provide exceptional food. The location is very central.

There was nothing that I did not like about my stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only thing I would mention is that the hotel is located near the Tenderloin neighbourhood, which is known for its homeless community and drug abuse problems. This should not be a reason to not visit the city, as San Francisco is great. It's just something to be aware of so you don't have any nasty surprises before you get there.
