About

Located in the heart of historic North Beach San Francisco, this completely nonsmoking intimate hotel creatively captures the area’s bohemian flair of the 1950’s and 1960’s. Inviting colors and modern art are featured at Hotel Bohème. The charm of the building as well as the courteous staff is reminiscent of the bohemian style the area was famous for. Rooms include free WiFi and a cable TV. Steps away from many Italian restaurants, small cafes, jazz and blues clubs and only a short walk from Lombard Street and San Francisco’s famous cable cars, Hotel Bohème provides the ideal starting point for exploring this historic area. Centrally located near Chinatown and Little Italy, Hotel Bohème takes you back in time while placing you in the center of a vibrant city life.

    • Comfortable bed. A fan was available in the room. Hot shower with great water pressure. Had someone available for a very late check-in.
    • The staff were friendly and accomodating, and the location was good - near lots of great restaurants.
    • Loved the location!Right in the heart of Little Italy which is also next to China Town. The receptionist and owner were so helpful & friendly,as well as informative. The decor is unique and unlike any other hotel we've been in. Water pressure, excellent!

    Cons -

    • I was charged a little more ($26) than what I was quoted. No daily housekeeping.
    • There was a lot of noise from the street below my second story room on Sunday night. When I checked in and again when I got back late in the evenings, the bathroom window was left open by housekeeping, which made the room cold.
    • Location was miserable. Had a room with street facing windows. SUPER loud ALL night. Thin old windows did nothing to mitigate street noise.

    Location, retro decor, friendly staff

Maybe a thicker blanket or better bedding in general.

Staff and location are both excellent. Close to parking garage also.

Walk down the stairs to Columbus and Little Italy, can't beat the location for restaurants, cafe's and coffee. The hotel is exactly as described so my expectations were met. The room was clean and comfortable. Check in was fast

Room was on the street so road noise is an issue. If you are a light sleeper...but value for the money was better than expected. No in room amenities like coffee, etc. (but step across the street to the cafe's)

location of Hotel Boheme is amazing and right in North Beach with amazing restaurants, shops, parks and coffee. They offered to hold our bags as we arrived at 7am so the customer service was amazing. Multiple bus stops within a couple of minutes walking and easy to use the 3 day Muni visitor pass. We walked from Market/Montgomery and only really took us 30mins of a gentle walk with a coffee stop on the way. No steep hills of note but just a good incline for the last 300m. Fishermans Wharf is also a 20-25min walk but thats basically downhill all the way. No need to walk really with so many transport options nearby

it didnt affect us, but if you travel with many bags, there is a flight of stairs from the front door to the reception to navigate. Not a problem in the world for any able bodied person but if elderley, youmay need to let them know to assist you with the bags. The customer service we received was excellent so it wouldnt be a problem for them

A wonderful quiet hotel in the bustling area of North Beach, with a lot of history and great staff, Susan & Nick are very friendly their hospitality was second to none

Location is perfect, middle of North Beach. Staff was very pleasant and room was clean.

Room was small, view was rooftops, and next door washer/dryer started to rock the room at 9am. Note we were informed that this would occur but had no good options to move to different room.

Great location, very helpful staff, relatively large bathrooms, clean room with daily room service, comfortable bed.

A bit rustic, smells like an old building, no elevator, no free coffee or water, no desk

The place has such an old school feel…a little like going back in time to the beatnik era! Amazing location in the heart of North Beach and also close to China Town.

Room was a bit stuffy, and the window didn’t open.

Everything! It’s our Go-To hotel when we visit SF. So charming and in the most perfect location in North Beach (Little Italy). Walking distance to tons of restaurants and bars. Walking distance to Coit Tower and Washington Square.

No AC, so on a warm night (which isn’t that frequent in SF) you can use the fan in the room but we had to get creative with plugging it in so we could actually feel the air.

Great location, so close to great restaurants and bars. Staff were lovely and super helpful. Bed was incredibly comfortable.

Not a lot to report. Place was really clean and comfortable. Only stairs which is awkward but the staff were kind enough to help with bags etc.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and the location was great.

The stairs were challenging and I would not recommend this hotel for older persons. There is also no a/c and so on warm days the room was stuffy.
