Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely, clean, big and really comfortable. We got a last minute discounted upgrade and opened the curtains in the morning to a view of Alcatraz! Great location just 10mins from Pier 39 and 5mins from the Powell-Hyde cable car. Happy hour beer/wine was a lovely touch. Loved staying here, definitely recommend.

Great location, lovely hotel
The room and bed sheets smelt stale! Very clean just stale sweat smell in room. Pillows look fluffy but so flat when you put your head on them. No drink making facilities in room.

The restaurant at the hotel is great. We had a few meals that really were delicious. The hotel is quiet (in the rooms) and very comfortable. It’s also close to various rental car companies and that is definitely a plus.
I think it would be good to lose the gimmicky record players in the rooms/optional plants for company and put coffee machines in their place. It would be nice to make your own coffee when you wake and not have to go all the way down to reception first thing. Also the bathrobes are not great. Again a kind of gimmick being a type of sweatshirt/robe when a nice terry cloth robe would be just fine.

Very comfortable bed, nice location, quiet room located on top floor, friendly and helpful staff.
The shower stall, though very nice looking, provided no grab bar, extra shelf for toiletries, nor a raised area to rest one’s foot when shaving their legs.

Excellent location. Easy walk to the piers for shopping and boat trips. Great facilities. Free drinks each night for happy hour. Staff welcoming and friendly.

Kimpton Alton is well situated at the Fisherman’s Wharf, great to get around easily. Hotel is lovely, comfortable rooms.

Quick walk to Fisherman’s Wharf. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in hotel restaurant. Also walk to Walgreens and Enterprise car rentals Excellent staff! Quiet rooms.
Wish there were coffee makers in the room, but coffee in lobby was very good.
