The Wharf Inn

The Hotel’s main attraction was its vicinity to Pier 39 and the secure parking ($30 a night which was about the going rate for anywhere in the area). The Big Bus tours started from across the road which was an added bonus for us to the see the sites. Room was a bit dated but comfy bed and good shower - no problems with noise. Rooms only cleaned after third nights stay.

The location is this property's greatest asset. We stayed here before and can see they are trying to do some updates.One advantage is parking inside the property. It used to be free, now it is now but still is a little cheaper than what other hotels in the area charge. Rooms are basic but nice and clean.

More updates are needed. Single pane windows that do not lock, for instance. Probably quite difficult to fix that you can hear everything from neighboring rooms. Not the most friendly staff at the front desk, get the feeling they really do not want to be there.

Location, location, location! Just around the corner from Pier 39 (Resturants) and a short walk to Pier 33 (Alcatraz ferry). Plenty of tourist shops around, easy access to buses and trams (trolley cars), close to park, good views 1/2 block away. Also only 2 blocks to get a rental car. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Shampoos, conditioners, hair dryers and pod coffee supplied.

Old - in dire need of a structural renovation. Has had some 'makeover' work but doesn't cover the structural issues, door, window and cupboard problems.

the location is great. very close walk to pier 39 and across the street from San Francisco tour bus station. Great if doing any tours.

they don't do any housekeeping until night 3. we only stayed 2 nights and our room was not clean. also, wifi wasn't working well and we couldn't really watch anything on TV due to that. only had 2 towels for the whole stay. we upgraded to a room with a balcony/partial view and had a view of seven eleven. not fun.

Staff was helpful, friendly, and curtious

The parking accommodations , wasn't enough space for all the rooms.

A fab place to stay. We stayed with our two children aged 12 and 14. It was a great location, clean, and we felt really safe here and in the area. The staff were amazing. Every staff member we came across was very friendly, professional, polite, and knowledgeable. We would definitely stay again .

Location was great. It is walking distance to Pier 39 and many attractions. There is a 7-11 right across the street which is very convenient. The rooms are comfortable and loved the wood floors. Overall a great stay with my family. Staff is very friendly.

The building is a bit outdated.

I did love the location of the area and love that they did have a place for your vehicle and was protected. I didn't have to worry about my vehicle getting damage or items stolen. Place was great thou.

They shower wasn't high pressure but still love the place and wouldn't mind going back again.
