Inn At The Opera

Location, rooms, staff and of course the city! Public transport connections perfect! We were visiting for GD 60th Anniversary celebration, so anticipated hiccups, but nothing to complain about..

The staff was super attentive and responsive. The hotel was very clean and beautiful. The location was secure and walkable to many restaurants and shops. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

I checked in early & my room wasn't ready. I was told I'd be notified when it was available but that never happened.

Great smaller friendly hotel. Very comfortable.

Room temps were way too hot. Turned off heat and kept windows open but room stayed too warm.

Proximity to the Civic Center, friendly and helpful staff, room was spotless and large for the price paid.

I expected an on site restaurant and bar based on the web site. On arrival I was informed these amenities (which I based my stay selection on) had been closed for 3 months. This required me to leave the hotel every day to eat and drink, not convenient!

Walls were a little thin. Street life out front was not always appealing.

I didn't get the room style that I paid for and no refund was offered. Breakfast was a total joke and should not have been advertised as included.

Well equipped and great location. Staff is very friendly and helpful, even called before my arrival to let me know I would need my vaccine card to dine in at restaurants- much appreciated!

all good but there were fries and ketchup in a my closet when I open it on my arrival time as well, VERY DARN SMALL ROOMS, even for SF I wouldn't call this rooms but cages

The room was adorable, spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was super friendly. The 24/7 coffee and water was a nice touch as were the 3pm cookies. The hotel and experience overall far exceeded my expectations.

Nice staff and clean hotel. Very nice complimentary breakfast. entranxe and lobby area tastefully decorated.

Inadequate closer space & barely any drawer space. Very short sink in bathroom. Sink is fine for people 5'6 and below. Room was very stuffy due to small size so window needed to be cracked open. Problem with window being own is lots of noise outside.

The best thing about this hotel was that they offered cookies in the late afternoon, and all day tea/coffee.

Room and beds are small. No air conditioning in the room. In room coffee was not replenished. Bathroom very outdated. Room service did not clean the room, all they did was make the bed. The elevator is old and frightening. Staff is very curt with guests.

Wonderful, responsive staff. Room was a little small. Breakfast was very fresh.

The continental breakfast was nice (nothing amazing, but a decent selection). Free WiFi was a good feature (but it is too slow to stream anything). Location 10 minutes from a BART was convenient and two blocks away is a nice strip of small restaurants.

This was NOT a 3.5 star place. It was dated and the room was small and there was no air conditioning. I know the Bay area does not get hot often, but it meant to stay comfortable you had to keep your window open and that meant hearing traffic all night.
