Laundry facilities is located on site. HI San Francisco Downtown Hostel is a 7-minute walk from the Chinatown Gates and 5-minute walk from San Francisco Center on Market Street.

The hotel's elevator will be closed for maintenance from early December 2024 through June 2025. During this time, all hostel areas will be accessible only by stairs. - Staff very polite. Room very comfortable. Locality excellent.
- The location..staff..cleanliness..my favorite place to stay
Cons -
- The floors in my room were extremely hazardously unlevel.
- Breakfast included in price was only available starting at 7:30am, with no option for a box for an earlier departure
- Breakfast not is good.
