Pros +
- The design is well curated and the rooms have everything you need. The location is amazing, you can walk to Golden Gate Park and the Panhandle easily, there's easy access to multiple public transit lines, and getting a cab is easy.
- Staff was very kind and helpful!
- nice feel
Cons -
- Issues checking in
- high price, no elevator
- I could see some people feeling the room is a little tight, but this was fine because it was just me. Also could use some updating. Can also hear some noise in the hallways with doors opening/closing; thankfully I was at the end of the hall so it wasn't too bad.

Great location in an area that doesn't have many lodging choices beyond "room in basement" Airbnbs. There were many places nearby to walk to and enjoy. While the room felt smaller than we had on a previous visit, we did find everything comfortable.
Location was great, staff was so attentive. I was able to open my window which overlooked the garden for extra airflow which was wonderful! Already booked to come back!

Good location in the Haight. Nice lobby. Friendly and helpful staff.
Room was VERY cold. Presence of space heaters suggests we are not the only ones who find this to be a problem. Noise from the street also not great.
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable.
Room was incredibly small and not value for money.

Friendly staff, in a really cool part of the city. Easy transport links downtown
The Metro Hotel is well located in a great neighbourhood. The staff were terrific and we appreciated the range of specialty teas offered in the lobby. Their outside garden Is a lovely place to sit.
We appreciated all that the property offered, except we found the standard double room to be just a bit too compact for two people.
I've been staying at The Metro Hotel for several years now, and am always happy to be back. It is in the best neighborhood and makes it very walkable with lots of restaurants, and shopping nearby. It's close to both Alamo Square park and Buena Vista Park and being in lower Haight, you can walk to Haight Ashbury and there are restaurants and bars all over. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the rooms are comfortable and clean.
Great location
Small room size / no tea or coffee or fridge
Great location. Quiet room.
Rooms are extremely small for the price.
Staff were friendly, accomodating and helpful with recommendations. Location was close to coffee shops and restaurants:
Very small rooms. Unable to cater for large suitcases.
Room was lovely, though small and there were no window shades.
Very noisy street. Did not feel safe walking alone at night.
The location is great! Lots of nice restaurants, cafes and wine bars close by. The staff was super friendly and gave us many tips.
It may have been the season (Christmas holidays), but the price was outrageous for the room that we got (cozy, but tiny).
This cute little boutique hotel is full of charm, and in a prime location. It is my go-to hotel for short stopovers when traveling solo or with my wife. Beds are comfy, vibe is cozy and welcoming, little backyard area is an oasis. The staff are just so polite, professional and friendly.
Location
The stairs with luggage was a challenge but Derek helped us thankfully.
It was a great hotel in a fantastic location.
It was a little pricey given it was primarily just a room without any additional hotel facilities.
