Ocean Inn

Bright spacious room, (looks like) newly decorated, with clean fridge and microwave, friendly staff gave extra coffees for the maker. Room and bathroom are very clean.

Can be noisy at night, with sound from hallway/ other guests intruding. We turned on the aircon/heater to drown out the noise. Parking can be a challenge when it's full due to tiny spaces for mostly large cars/suvs.

Very good location as there are restaurants and the beach within walking distance, and the streetcar that goes into downtown runs in front of the hotel.

The flooring in the room was scary as I worried that the plywood flooring might be damaged (as you walked, the floor gave as if it were not solid). Carpet and chair were pretty dirty. No frills room, but I somewhat expected all of that.

The location was great, and the staff was very helpful. I especially appreciated that he was able to book me for another night's stay in the same room and helped me with luggage storage.

Room 29's view was fantastic, but the bathroom had a persistent smell of urine (though it seemed to have been cleaned well enough) and the windows' opening mechanism was somewhat broken. The windows could use cleaning.

Location to the San Francisco Ocean Beach

The hotel is fine. It's the surrounding neighborhood that has suffered greatly from Covid shutdown, and reduction of city services.

The windows were plexiglass and were not secured, they are large bay windows and all it would take is a small tumble to completely fall out of a second story window on to a sidewalk. I couldn’t believe it I could’ve pushed any of the windows out with

Courteous family run place, kind and helpful. Cant beat the location and price.

Noisy all night trains shake the building, but the staff cannot do anything about that of course. If you're going to stay a night and you're tired anyway, its fine.

The place lived up to my expectations:A comfortable bed, a roof over our heads, parking, located in San Francisco. Staff was pretty nice.

It's over a noisy bar, so you may not get any sleep until after two. It's not too clean, though the sheets and towels were fine. There seemed to be more than the average number of screaming, insane and angry people in the street, out front.

It was close to the beach and the Golden Gate.

Felt very creepy. Old room with lots of noises. People outside could be heard screaming. Not enough parking spaces - had to park 1 block away on the street.

It was close to the train stop right at the Ocean inn.............the stores and night life bars ............

the property was clean and the parking was nice.

the property is connected to a bar that doesn’t close until 2 in the morning, and it was extremely loud. Couldn’t get any rest until after 230 am. On top of that there is a trolly in front of the hotel that is also very loud. Only way I would recommend this place is if your planning to go out bar hopping and plan to stay out late into the early morning

Undependable and unprofessional. They will waste your time.

I told them that I would be arriving at 10:30 pm . They told me that my late arrival wouldn't be a problem. However, when I arrived at 10:30 and rang the buzzer many times at the night window, no one ever appeared and I had to find another place to stay at the last minute. It very inconvenient and they were very unprofessional.

Conveniently located near beach.

Room was located directly above a Pub/Bar/Nightclub and was extremely loud all hours of the evening and early mornings. The tram that runs 24 hours was also located directly in front of the window. The Bathroom toilet was not properly sanitized and had urine and hair at bottom of toilet. There was mouse droppings on floor in bathroom. There was no hot water Saturday morning to take a shower. The ice machine did not work entire time. The wife cut out so much watching a movie was nearly impossible. There is 30 rooms but only 9 parking spaces so we had to park illegally one evening. Very very disappointed.
