Washington Square Inn

Nothing we left after check in. No good feedback.

We waited thirty minutes to be let into the hotel. We weren’t even let in by staff just another guest party. The other party had been waiting over an hour to get their room key. There was no staff on site. Rooms were misrepresented and dirty. Horrible.

They advertise ¿all guests enjoy private baths.¿ What they don¿t tell you is the bathrooms are not in the room, but down the hall. Then when I called, because the door down the hall isn¿t even labeled, the employee tried to justify it and said I was rude.

This could not have been a better location! Within walking distance of Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf; plus having the trolley nearby was, so convenient. Being across the street from restaurants and a park was a bonus!

The rooms were smaller than expected but, spotless and nicely decorated. 0

I love being between Little Italy and Chinatown. And the hotel look well cleaned.

The Roomkey app. only worked one time.. Room was VERY cold. No improvement from Front Desk over phone. PROBLEM: I was bitten the second & third night by "bed bug". I caught one on the bed!! I was traumatized. I slept only 3 to 4 hours each night.

Location in North Beach section of town which was close to transportation and great restaurants; "Happy Hour" with wine, cheese and crackers; friendly and helpful staff; price was right

There is zero staff! No one to assist with accommodations needs. The room was advertised w a view which did not happen.

I hated the app you had to download to enter rooms. Mine continually produced errors and I could not enter room.No staff at location.After resetting app three or four times would it function predictably

This inn was an absolute gem and the perfect home base for exploring San Francisco. The location could not be better—right by Washington Square in the heart of North Beach/Little Italy. Being so close to the tall, beautifully lit church made it incredibly easy to find my way back at night, which I really appreciated.You’re surrounded by fantastic restaurants and bars, just two blocks from the cable car, and within easy walking distance of Chinatown and even Pier 39 if you enjoy a longer stroll. It felt central without being chaotic.The room itself was very comfortable, with a surprisingly spacious shower (a big win after long days of walking). Everything felt clean and well cared for. Coffee available each morning was a lovely touch and a great way to start the day.

The only minor downside was that luggage storage was not locked and required leaving bags in the lobby. That said, the lobby itself is locked and only accessible to guests, and we had no issues at all with our luggage.Self check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. The room was cleaned daily, and overall we were very happy with our stay.

The location in North Beach is perfect.

Contactless check in so you cannot ask questions, no one answers the phone most of the time, dirty and grimy, stains on the carpet, weird smell, dirty curtains, worse than advertised, used tissues

Nice place.

No hot water for shower. Bed mattress too small for bed frame. It hurts foot when you kick leg of bed frame and also shin. Mattress should fit frame size.

Location is close to tourist areas

No hotel consierge or hotel assistants, bell hop, etc. The only hotel employees present are the people who clean the rooms.

Close to everything in North Beach

The OpenKey check in. No Staff onsite if you had problems Vonsttuvtion going on at 8:00am on Sunday morning

Room 7 has a great view of the church all lit up this time of the year. Location was great as we love North Beach. The room was very clean and it was fine.

I would be nice if there was at least on person there. Maybe supply some charging stations for the iPhones.
