Hyatt House Sacramento-Midtown

The location was great, there is plenty of street parking, and it was very nicely renovated

There were few homeless people on the street between where I parked and the front entrance.

Very nice comfortable central hotel

The staff were very kind and helpful. The scent upon entry was fabulous! They offer complimentary fruit infused water upon arrival and they always greeted us whenever we entered or exited the property. The room was clean. The staff were very accommodating when we requested additional bedding items.

The reason I wouldn't be able to stay here again is because I found the toilet to be too low and the shower door did not close properly. The toilet was quite low to floor and no grab bar option for my mom or for us. It was just a bit uncomfortable for us. The Wi-Fi was very spotty and the tv would often glitch causing us to miss certain parts of the dialogue while watching various channels and shows.It was a little inconvenient to not have an option for ice on each floor but Ice is available on every other floor.

Location, star lounge, room amenities

This is a great Hyatt nestled in midtown. Great location for walking tree-lined streets in a charming neighborhood peppered with small shops, restaurants, and bars. Very friendly and helpful staff.It’s a beautiful old building that was very tastefully decorated. The rooms were standard hotel style but very clean and comfortable.Would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel, the bar / restaurant and lobby are gorgeous but the rooms are a bit bland/sterile for my taste. Great location and staff.

The location is excellent.

The breakfast was almost inedible, plan that valet will take a while to get your car and pick it up, asked for my room to be cleaned and it wasn’t.

The streets were muddy and dirty. There were no plates and cups in the one of the rooms. Bath soap was finished had to ask for some. We had thought everything I’ll be intact.

Location was fine for visiting my son. Room was very quiet at night. We booked a 7th floor room. At first I did not think I would sleep well in a too soft bed but I slept fine. Lobby was warm. Elevators were fast. Receptionist was quick to check us in. Staff were pleasant. Hotel host brought up coffee supplies very quickly when called.

For the price, we probably could have found a better hotel. The service was lacking upon arrival. There was only a valet, no one to take your luggage. We had to retrieve the luggage cart, pack it ourselves and wheel it up to reception and room. Not a biggie, but surprising that this hotel would have guests do this all on their own. We were looking forward to having end of day drinks and food at the hotel’s highly touted Star Lounge but were informed at check-in that the lounge was booked for private parties both nights of our stay. This was a huge disappointment! I should’ve looked at some of the reviews of this hotel, seems others have had the same disappointment! Had we known ahead of time, we would not have stayed at this hotel. We ended up having to try and find a bar to walk to and to our liking. We ended up finding a pretty good dive bar, the Raven, but had to walk almost a half mile in rainy, cold weather. Our room was not properly prepared: carpet was not vacuumed well, no regular coffee or tea restocked in room (had to call down to hotel host to bring some), shower door kept sliding open as I was showering which wet the floor. So, yeah, not impressed by Hyatt House.
