Pros +
- Very easy to get to and convenient to Ojai. Staff was very helpful and attentive.
- The location gave us pretty fast access to Ventura waterfront and Channel Islands NP Visitors Center.
- It's an older motel and it shows. It's hard to walk around your room without the floorboards creaking on the second floor. It's staff, however, are very friendly and eager to please. It' a good place for a short stay and not spend a lot of money.
Cons -
- When we checked in, there was leftover breakfast items on Monday night. We were told they were leftovers from the weekend when they offer continental breakfast. The items were still there Tuesday morning... The room furnishings and linens were old but OK.
- The only real problem for this site is the entrance/exit, but there's nothing they can do about it.
- only problem the charge. paid with AMEX gift card $186.72. have receipt for that amount. but my card was docked $224.06! AMEX tell me I get back $37.34 overcharge by Nov 29. a month away! why does the hotel do that? a gift card is certain payment!
