- When we were trying to check in the employee stayed we need a security deposit of $250 when the place was not worth that much. When we questioned him as to why so much he was rude stating that if we knew how this worked and if we knew how money worked. He then didn’t want to accept the debit card and had us go get cash at an atm in town and then only charged us $100 for the security deposit. In the morning were woken at 7am by construction workers talking and construction noise in the the 2 rooms next to us. They knowingly put us in that room so we would be bothered by the construction noise in the morning. They could of easily put us in a room away for the construction but we think they did it on purpose because we questioned them about why they were charging so much on the security deposit. The furniture was dirty and the bed was not comfortable. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED. Worst location ever would never book again.

I chose the Pelican Inn because I moved out of my home in Carmel and needed a place to stay for four nights until my flight. I chose it because it had a microwave and a good-sized refrigerator helping me reduce food costs. It was clean and comfortable. The only thing I missed was a coffee machine. Walked toStarbucks daily.
Just missed having an in-room coffee machine and perhaps water bottles for sale in the lobby.
