Hyatt House LA - University Medical Center

Great location and felt safe. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. It's very clean and the breakfast is great! If we needed anything, the staff was very helpful and was quick to provide it.

I can't think of anything we didn't like.

Great place to stay

Breakfast was amazing! Room was very spacious and accommodated my family well.

The trains.

Room size was good for our family of 4 and our son liked the pool. Our room was clean. Also being so far from most tourist areas, it was very quiet at night.

The fan in the heating and cooling system was so loud, we had to turn off the climate control in order to sleep. So we had neither heat nor AC during the night. And the bathroom smelled really bad in the mornings, got better in the afternoon but the smell never went away completely.Hotel is located in a restaurant desert. Other than a couple of fast food places, Chipotle and a Poke place, one had to drive for any additional dining experience.Hotel is located East of downtown LA so it's 20-30 min. driving to most tourist attractions. Normally not bad but can turn into 30-70 min. with LA traffic.

Room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was decent. The staff was very helpful and professional.

The train. While I know that isn't the fault of the hotel it did unfortunately hinder us as we picked this location for its walking proximity to the Plaza De La Raza. The train constantly blocked the intersection.

The location was great. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is simple, but good to start the day.

The cost of parking is somewhat expensive, especially since you have to walk to park.

Parking too expensive.Staff were ok, depending who you talked too, they didn't explain to us about simple stuff such as, deposits they just charged extra.... assuming we have all stayed there before. Housing keeping rules where not explained to us upon checking in. They only clean your room every 3 days, i had three kids with me, you can image how dirty the room as get. No access to cleaning supplies that i may need while waiting for housing keeping, such as, toilet brushes, mops, vacuum cleaner etc... as this is not a Air BnB.We stayed for 16 nights, breakfast hardly changed, the same thing everyday. Maximum stay in a place like this needs to be 3 days, figured this out as noticed people had very short stay. No safe in the room, so you can image no secure place to store our passports or valuables.No table in the room for you to work on, we had to use our laps while on the laptops.

Hotel is great, room facilities are good, breakfast was excellent.

We likely chose the wrong location, as visitors, we were looking for an hotel near downtown LA which it is but aside of that, there is very little in the area in regards to restaurants or convenience shops.

Spacious rooms, well equipped, very comfortable. Great pool and pool area.

Self parking is far too expensive, they doubled the regular price in the same garage. Not enough tables for breakfast, over crowded, queuing for the breakfast buffet.

I enjoyed my stay at Hyatt House LA - University Medical Center. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offered a nice variety of options. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions.

$40 daily parking fee was steep. Street parking is available, but you need to read the signs and wake up early to move your car. If you park on Valley Blvd, the train can block access, requiring a long walk via N Soto St to retrieve it.
