Rodeway Inn El Cajon - San Diego East

The bed was pretty comfortable.

Many things I didnt like about this place such as the restroom, the mirrors, and the door. Everything was either broken or dirty. The dead bolt on the door was broken off..

Nothing, horrible experience

Unsafe, dirty, trashy, homeless nearby, smelled poorly, cigarettes all over the area, sink broken, drawers where held closed by tissue, no bathroom vent cover, holes in wall, mirror frame warped, bed had a cigarette burns, Toilet handle large chip.

There were a lot of cockroaches we had to kill crawling allow , when we 1st got there are front window was barely hanging on.

Nothing at all

Everything...full of drug addicts, gang members nd prostitutes..rooms werent even complete..girl at front desk scratching her nasty armpits nd touching my ID after

The management team is incredibly attentive and truly cares about their tenants. I love how friendly and accepting they are, yet still professional and firm when needed.

Guests here are all in different situations, sometimes staying short‑term or longer, and considering the location and factors outside their control, management does a good job keeping the property and community clean and well‑managed.

This hotel was barely acceptable, furnishings worn out, bedding was clean, but overall cleanliness was minimal. Owners are not maintaining the place. I would not have stayed there except getting a different room at the last minute is very difficult.

It was a terrible experience is supposed to be a non-smoking room and it smelled like an ashtray I was able to sleep because they had a sofa there that smells so bad in the refrigerator was leaking terrible experience

Very kind and professional staff

The size of the room was nice

My room literally had no running water and I couldn’t take a shower

Not clean at all, hair in the bathroom, dirt on the floor, no outlets, bed sheets dirty. I cancelled right after checking in and I never got a refund. Owner also charged my account before I even checked in. Do NOT book this location

Absolutely nothing. Place should be shut down

Not one thing beside the AC worked!

Everything! My tv didn’t work, my room was dirty when I checked in. It was like someone checked out, they made the bed and that was it.

Thr owner/manager was very nice. He met any needs in a timely manner.

Higher toilets because I'm tall. Very hard to sit on and even more difficult getting up.

Not to bad mouth the place but it was like one of those shady places you see im the cop movies. The clientele looked shady. One room smelled terribly of cigarette and on a a mirror there was a message written that said “y’all didn’t think I would know” ?then a second room the furniture was old & chipped. I decided not to stay. I asked Booking.com to ask for a refund but it never came.

Everything! Cleaner rooms, newer furniture.

location was great

room, sheets, towels, restroom were really dirty. only washcloth was clean. need maintanence. the bed covers were dirty as well. i stepped on dog poop that was next to my car.

I didn’t like anything we dirty place and dirty hotel

The hotel was full of drug people and homeless its danger for family to stay there

It’s clean and staff is friendly

A bigger fridge

Reservation was canceled a few hours before landing. Was forced to pay double at another hotel due to holiday weekend.

The bed was super comfortable and appeared clean. The air conditioner worked well. The WiFi worked well too. The TV had no problems. The room is very spacious.

Three things were dirty: the entire floor, the shower floor, and the seat of the armchair. I was grossed out. I put a towel down on the shower floor because I didn’t have shower flip flops. The floor had spots of gummed up crap and overall was covered in stuck-on dirt. It clearly hasn’t been mopped on a regular basis and now needs a serious deep cleaning. On the bed I slept on top of the comforter with my own blanket because I didn’t trust that the sheets were actually clean. They appeared clean, but that didn’t matter. When I pay nearly $250 for two nights I expect nearly flawless maintenance. This was worth only $50 a night. I could have camped at that rate and would have had a better experience. I would like a $150 refund!

Terrible

None of the photos look like the place it self sheets were dirty towels were dirty bathtub was stained black

I had several phone conversations with the manager and finally he moved me to another motel cross the street, which was certainly worse than I expected.
