Location was beautiful, unfortunately, outside property speakers starting playing music AT 5:45 AM! My husband got up to ask the kitchen crew to please turn down music around 6 AM but cafe wasn't even open. I don't think music was turned off until the kitchen staff showed up. Completely ruined our entire stay. Apparently, the timer was off for the music to go on. We were credited $50 but this did not make up for our ruined sleep.

Such a great location. Walked everywhere. Best coffee shop in Calistoga right on property. And friendly staff.

Central location in Calistoga. Wonderful room and a voucher for breakfast from the associated cafe.

    Loved it all

The room was incredibly clean and everything was so thoughtfully put together! They have bikes you can use which we would have if we stayed longer, tons of cute restaurants, wineries, and shops to walk to. Gorgeous scenic drive to the inn as well because it's at the very end of Napa Valley but honestly it wasn't too bad - we were able to do so many things and it only took about 20 minutes to get back to the hotel each time

It would've been great if the pillows were a little more fluffy/had more cushion but overall the bed was comfortable

Quality linens, comfortable bed, quality and charm.

A little noisy but didn’t bother us.

The Brannan cottage Inn is perfectly located for walking access to the restaurants. The self check in is easy (thank you Nicole)We occupied the room n°5. It's was very nicely, cozy, spotlessly clean. The outdoor areas are nice too.We did not test the coffee, maybe next time. We very much enjoyed this property.

The staff is really nice. They even left a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us in the room for our anniversary. they have bikes for guests to borrow and stroll around, and service is outstanding. The room amenities are also top notch. All in all this had everything to be a superb place.

The biggest problem is the lack of a common room or a heated area where guests could spend time. The rooms are tiny and there’s no seating space - it only fits the bed. This wouldn’t be a problem if there was a common room where guests could sit down, read a book and spend some time. but in this property they lack that. the cafe closes at 4pm, and so does the reception. All the staff leaves and turn off all the patio heaters. So if you get to the hotel after dinner at 8:30 the only thing you can do is to go to bed early. And hope you can sleep 11 hours in a row, because the cafe is only open at 8am next day. I imagine this wouldn’t be a problem with warm weather, as one can spend time in the patio, but during winter it just doesn’t work. Also - and possibly as a consequence of forcing guests to spend too long in bed - the mattress was all bumpy and uncomfortable. Two days in that place and I was dreading having to go back to that room.

Perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway! Efficient and contactless check-in, the room was ready before we even got to Calistoga! Great location, I enjoyed the historical significance of the cottage, and its a few steps from downtown Calistoga, but around the corner so you're not disturbed by traffic noise. The room was very nicely done, cozy, spotlessly clean -- in fact, I found it was much nicer in reality than the photos (which is rare these days!) Lots of attention to detail (from the cute welcome note, the toiletries the room, features like heated toilet seats, an oil diffuser, and a phone sanitizer, and even chocolate, gummi bears, bottles of wine, and shots for morning recovery in the room). It's on site with Sam's General Store, so it was convenient to pop out for some coffee or just hang out in the garden. Having the bikes were also a bonus, we were able to take quick ride down the Napa Valley Wine Trail which starts just nearby!

None. We wish we stayed longer!

Very cute room in a lovely historic building. The room was cozy, with a fireplace and a porch overlooking a lawn and social area. Easy walk to downtown Calistoga for shops and restaurants. The available wine and snacks in the room were a nice surprise. The breakfast option was good, and we enjoyed the baked goods. Guest support was lovely and super responsive. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay while enjoying the Calistoga area.

A beautifully designed cottage with thoughtful details and elegant finishes. The location is great & quiet, offering a cozy and charming atmosphere. The staff was wonderful (Nicole), making the stay even more special. A hidden gem full of character, away from the hustle of big resorts.

Everything! Comfortable beds, heated toilet seats, all amenities, very nice cafe and great seating areas outside. Very quaint and cute

    Nothing!

    Very well kept.

Small room; No chair/desk area and, by no fault of the inn, very noisy street work which totally mitigated the attractiveness of the outside sitting area.

    7PaulPosted on: 10-15-2024

Very pretty location on a residential street close to amenities of Napa Valley. Pretty gardens and an interesting story.

The contactless check-in was clunky, probably because i didn’t check my text messages. Room #6 has no safe. Had a leaky shower faucet that we finally corrected. Soap dispenser beside sink did not work. We unscrewed the top to use the soap. When room service came they didn’t fix it, simply put the top back in the container. Room wasn’t made up after first night because we failed to put out the sign on the doorknob requesting housekeeping. The staff in the Sam’s Cafe lacked personality and seem very harried. I know this sounds nik-picky but these irritants add up, causing disappointment.

It was in a great location.

Our room was right next to the outdoor space and it sounded like someone was walking right next to our bed. It was SO loud.

We actually stayed at the Brannan Lofts which is a sister property to The Brannan Cottage Inn. The room we has was actually a small apartment, very clean, very large and of high quality.

Communication. We thought we were staying at the Brannan Cottage Inn -- the location pictured on top of this survey and listed on our confirmation. The innkeeper has a sister property, The Brannan Lofts, located about 4 blocks away -- on main street in Calistoga. The room we had was really an efficiency apartment -- very nicely furnished -- but on the 2nd floor with no elevator. It was fine for us -- in fact very nice -- but a 2nd Floor apartment downtown is a much different accommodation than a room at the Brannan Cottage Inn located in a nice residential neighborhood.
