Pros +

  • Location to the event
  • Staff was very helpful and friendly. When my sink started to rise up and overflow, they managed to find another room for me. Room was clean, with big TV, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, hair dryer. Quiet location. But old hotel, improvements in progress.
  • Cleaning overall was good, but room didn't have a table.

Cons -

  • Front office was in staffed during normal business hours and continental breakfast was almost non existent. Should be advertised differently.
  • Old hotel being converted into a Super 8. Bathroom, while clean, was old, with scratched porcelain & loose knobs in bath. AC only, portable heater. No free breakfast other than coffee and "take only one" tiny muffins until they get food license.
  • Breakfast is not that big. Just coffee, cereal bars, and pastry.

Price was fair. I should have stayed there in the first place rather than Indio. Ice machine worked.
Blythe is a bleak depressing outpost of post-apocolyptic civilization. Movie theater was closed down, as was most of the business district. There is always an issue with the TV channels. A printed channel guide would have been useful.
