    Pros +

    • Very casual, relaxed environment.
    • Close to attraction. Nice staff.
    • Special place because of their location and access to everything needed in a vacation. We are members of a time share in the area that is far away an making a reservation is impossible, we found this room fast. Staff wonderful

    Cons -

    • The room was hot. No a/c, so the only way to keep cool is to open the windows and turn on the loud ceiling fan. There were spider eggs in the window frame. Also, not much privacy, but it is a hostel so I guess you¿d expect that.
    • They give us a towel that has a hole in it, it was rolled nicely but when we unrolled it to our surprise there’s hole in it. And looks old/rugged. The free breakfast was poor also.
    • No TV in the room it was basically a bed and two closets one with a shower in it the other a toilet and sink. It's kind of my fault it was late when I booked it looked at the pictures not the stars. We almost left even though we already paid.

Loved the lodge and location. Park your car and walk to town. The breakfast and dinner were great especially since they were included in the price. The volunteer and paid staff were available and helpful. Loved the boat trip and ping pong!

The only thing I didn't like was the fact the bathroom was on the first floor and my room was on the 2nd floor.

    Private room and breakfast options

Bedsheets had stains, pillows were not fluffy at all. Lights in the patio were on all night.

    everything

nothing to dislike … just be aware that it’s not sound proof but that it as expected of a margin cabin house with various size type rooms

Everything in town is within walking distance, and the lodge is an extraordinarily comfortable place to hang out. There's multiple bathrooms, so it's not an issue even though it's shared. This was much more fun than staying at a hotel.

It was Beautiful! Had coffee and breakfast waiting in the morning. My contacts at had to instruct me how to work the lock! Safe

I'm 64 so the stairs were a bit steep however I made it just fine!

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean, and the hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful whenever we had questions. Breakfast was generous and well-prepared, and even though the bathroom was shared, it was well-maintained and never an issue. For the price, we received far more than we expected compared to similar places, which was an outstanding value. We would definitely recommend staying here.

    We liked everything pretty good.

This place truly felt like a home, because it basically is. The common areas are cozy & spacious, and the porch overlooks the lake. Also, Chaz! He was so welcoming, friendly, and he makes great pancakes! I could not have had a better stay and would highly recommend this hostel to anyone.

    Nada.
