Located along Highway 71, this hotel is just a 10-minute drive from the Crystal Bridges Museum. Free WiFi is available. A flat-screen TV with expanded cable is provided in each room at The Block Hotel. The simply styled rooms also include a work desk. Guests can enjoy a continental breakfast each morning near the lobby. A fitness room and a business center are also on site for convenience. - Well kept, but in the process of much needed updates.
- Compact room, pleasant staff, clean, good value.
Cons -
- No guest wake up system. No telephone or alarm clock in the room. Contractors blaring loud music starting at 9:00 am on Saturday morning as they were making repairs. Hotel staff asked them to turn down the music - they failed to do so.
- Under construction, first room on the 3rd floor but expected us to walk up. They changed room to the first floor. We were the first to stay in room. Decor was above average, floor had not been mopped, very dirty. Code entry not explained, difficult.
- Room carpet was old and smelled.
