The charm of the lobby, courtyard, and rooms. we especially liked the friendliness of the staff. Cathy even gave me an impromptu tour of the tunnel. A wonderful and enjoyable visit.

Kind and welcoming staff. Beautiful room. Great downtown location.

    10KristinPosted on: 7-19-2022

It was charming and historic! Personal touches like decent coffee in the room with a coffee maker for in the morning. Room 217 has a gorgeous stained glass window right above the bed.

Family generationally owned operated. LGBTQ friendly. Historically significant property experience in historic district. Killer air condition system manageable from room thermostat. Adjacent hotel owned parking. Walking distance to dining and museum

No room fridge. No room microwave. Limited sink counter space. One ft tall small trash can. No USB charging ports. No alarm clock.

    Location only.

The room was not ready at check in. The beds were saggy. Had to take aleve the next day. The shower head was down too low to take a decent shower. The hotel is definitely in need of maintenance and new management. Disappointing!

They over charged me Room was filthy Someone’s clothes were in the closet And they gave me the wrong room Heat didn’t work

    Location

There was a pool listed in the amenities but it had been filled in with concrete and had been for awhile. There was no in room coffee.

    9Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 1-9-2019

The hotel is extremely loud in the morning. Also, the bathtub definitely needed replaced. The multiple cracks and scratches in the tub led to a dirty looking bathroom.

    9StevenPosted on: 9-4-2018

This hotel was great!! This hotel or inn had an old style feel. It seemed all the rooms faced a beautiful courtyard with a fountain surrounded by flowers and tables to enjoy complimentary breakfast.

You have to pay for parking.

    9Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 10-25-2017

The location and style. It was a comfortable stay.

The breakfast was alright. I still ate it.

The ambiance, the courtyard, the staff, the layout of the rooms/building.

The rooms need more insulation. The people in the courtyard were very loud, and woke me up.

    7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 9-30-2016

Great location. Charming architecture. It was clean. Breakfast was good.

Decor was dated, not necessarily historical. Poorly maintained furniture. TV didn't work. Iron didn't work properly. Coffee maker didn't work. Just a general lack of attention to details.

    10ClintonPosted on: 8-19-2016

Great historical hotel. Originally built in 1862, the style and open air atmosphere was great.
