Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Athens Alabama by IHG

The room and pool were both large and clean.

I would not recommend staying here if you have young children. We were put on the 2nd floor and then approached by someone from the front desk because our 2 and 3 year old boys were walking and running on the floor in our room "too loudly"

Proximity to restaurants & interstate.

Breakfast hostess less than friendly.

Cleanliness of the room and the comfort of the beds. Maids respected check out time and didn't knock until right before 11

Room was right outside a storage room, was woken up a few times starting at 6am with noise from someone going to storage room.

Large room, table by chair for beverage while watching tv. Great breakfast.

The staff was PHENOMENAL!

Not the hotels fault but there was a screaming child for over an hour in the early morning that kept up a LOT of rooms (we all talked about it at breakfast).

Super friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful hot full breakfast. Did not use the pool so have no opinion on that but we¿ll ventilated because I did not smell it upon entering the building. I¿m very sensitive to pool chemicals so this was a very good thin

It was extremely clean and the staff were friendly, especially the lady who managed the breakfast bar. I was amazed how nice the whole place was, as I thought it may have been recently built, but the desk lady said it was remodeled 12 yrs ago.

No, it was all very nice.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and good price.

Clean, convenient, and affordable.

It was in a great location for our trip

They held a $250 deposit without prior notice and it¿s still being held, five days later.

Clean with friendly staff

Very loud interstate noise.

I stayed for 1 night. I had no food in the room but woke up to sugar ants all over the counter/table in the main area of my room. Noticed them when 1 was crawling on my face. Paid way too much for this to be ¿acceptable¿ to the woman at the front desk.

The room was spacious. The room was clean. The mattresses were good. The breakfast was served and it was warm.

Location was good right off the interstate. Comfortable beds.

One employee was a little rude on the phone, but in person she was pretty nice chalk up to maybe she was having a bad day that day we are all human.

Easy access to interstate, clean rooms, hot tub and pool.

Just one 2 slice toaster at the breakfast bar!

Super clean. Super quiet. Great breakfast in the morning. Awesome friendly staff.

Slightly pricey - but since we stayed both on our way TO Florida and on our way FROM Florida, we felt the pros FAR outweighed the cons.

convience, staff an breakfast

no problems at all.

Room was clean and quiet. Easy to get to. We were to only ones using the pool which, while smallish, was more than sufficient. Breakfast was great!

The heat/ac in our room was crazy. The thermostat said 65, but even after switching from heat to ac and putting it at 62, I'm sure it was still close to 80 in there. That was the only negative.

Close to the Interstate. Large room, comfortable bed, good breakfast.

The elevator was not in the best shape. The certificate of inspection in the elevator was out of date! I took a picture of it and have proof. It made funny noises and was not a smooth elevator, definitely needed a tune up! Water spots on ceiling in room.

breakfast. clean room. big TV!
