    • What a great location. Room with a view of the marina and ship traffic as well as watching the interplay of salmon run, seals hunting, and humans fishing from the bridge. Staff we¿re extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating !
    • old school homey and comfy. clean. really nice staff. great views and surrounding area. closecto necessities. decently priced

    Cons -

    • They don¿t have screens on their windows so when I opened them insects were able to come in.
    • ..... no complaints Only praises
    • Had to walk across bridge & back with luggage per message at desk. Staff was not available, or answering phone. Cafe was rude about finding them for me. Cold water didn't work in bathroom sink, traffic was loud-they leave ear plugs to wear to bed.

Wow, we reserved the Harbor View , but they upgraded us to the Preachers House without our even having to ask. Lovely multi level house with a fireplace, full kitchen, washer/dryer, deck and grill outside. We read all the reviews and agree it was Awesome

    ..... no complaints Only praises

The ambiance of old Ketchikan. Antiques and old phone were a nice touch. Room was small, but clean. View of harbor from room.

Had to walk across bridge & back with luggage per message at desk. Staff was not available, or answering phone. Cafe was rude about finding them for me. Cold water didn't work in bathroom sink, traffic was loud-they leave ear plugs to wear to bed.

We loved the location and the view of Thomas Basin.

It wasn't an issue for us, but there is no elevator to the rooms. I hope that it is stated before people book. Otherwise, it is super!

The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the location was excellent! B

I loved it but I did not know that the room contained a spiral staircas. It was no problem, but if I were a senior citizen it might have been difficult to navigate.

Nice location across from the docks, access to bus, nice view from lobby, quaint historic building, nice remodeled bathroom. Recommend this hotel if travelers want historic, old, small, hotel, do not mind being hot, and can climb many stairs.

over 50 stairs to all rooms, view from window was junk & mountain wall, no screen on window, very small and very very hot.

I liked the location of this hotel best. It was old, but charming and clean. The staff were engaging and helpful and could provide transportation if needed with advance notice. It served me very well and I would stay again.

The only downside was the steep narrow staircase that was difficult to haul luggage up and down. That being said, it is an old hotel and that's the way they built them!

Nice antique furniture, comfy bed (for 1), nice view of water and harbor. "Old time Alaska" type of place. 5 minute walk to downtown, grocery store 5 minute walk the other direction. Nice bath stuff. Coffee maker, fridge. Creek St itself very nice.

Noise! Rm was above a place with loud music eves, street noise is very loud: bring ear plugs. You hear people in the next room. Free wifi but most of the time it didn't work. Building is "New York Hotel" not "Inn at Creek St" so drove past it.

    4Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 7-17-2015

Most of the staff most helpful and let us use their computer as the wifi and the guest computer was not operating all of the time. The gal that picked us up at the dock and the return ride was most friendly.

Carpet in room was never vacuumed. Guest computer was either not working or was extremely slow.

Quaint qualities of the hotel. Friendliness of the staff. There is a shuttle to and from the airport if u request it. They shared the July 4th celebrations with us with food and some very tasty rice.

Carpet needed replacing as there were some old stains in the carpet.

Close to activity. seeing local bear. View of ferns. Room 7 New York was mostly quiet. Provided an emergency ride I needed. Nice restaurant downstairs. Close to shops. Very nice cleaning staff. Ability to change temp in room.

Knobs on doors sticky. Need some work. No working TV. Building is very old which is both positive and negative. Loud guest on phone swearing a lot and yelling into the phone. I don't think it has AC. One night was too hot to sleep comfortably. Shower curtain was very, very long and so water pooled on the floor. Trying to prevent it from making the floor wet did not work. It just needs to be shortened and hemmed up.

    The location was fabulous

The stairs to our room are very dangerous and not to code. Someones going to get hurt.

    7MerlePosted on: 1-19-2026

There wasn’t breakfast we were aware of and the location was great if you want to be in middle of town and all the shops if you like peace And quiet not so much

Surprises the location during cruise ships docking and the parking was difficult but manageable the staff were very helpful on parking issue

    9Keri-LynPosted on: 11-20-2025

Great location. Super cute place in general, charming. Walkable to everything in “downtown” Ketchikan and a short walk to the other populated area by the ferry terminal and airport. We really appreciated the free ride from the airport as well.

It was a little loud right on the only road in town.
