The room was very nice for the price.
Nice room. Had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk but once checked in we found it to be a great room (#62) with kitchenette and plates, glasses and silverware. Met our needs very well and way cheaper than other hotels.
Great location. The handyman and the woman cleaning the room were very helpful and had great attitudes.

Top Tips
- Book your hotel at least 60 days in advance for major religious holidays such as Passover, Sukkot, Christmas, and Easter, since rates can rise 20-40% and central hotels often sell out. Verify if your rate is non-refundable during peak periods before confirming.
- Allow an extra 5-15 minutes at larger hotels for ID or passport checks and bag scans, especially during busy periods. Keep your documents ready to speed up check-in.
- Hotels in Mamilla or near Ben Yehuda Street are within a 5-15 minute walk (0.5-1.5 km) of the Old City. For a quieter setting, consider German Colony or First Station areas with tree-lined streets and boutique cafes, about 20-35 minutes on foot.
- Pay in Israeli Shekels (ILS) and decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) to avoid hidden fees, as DCC often uses exchange rates 3-5% worse than bank rates. Double-check the final payment amount before confirming.
- Bring a Type H (three-pin) power adapter and a universal charger rated for 230 V / 50 Hz. Most hotels offer adapters on request but quantities may be limited during busy seasons.
- Jerusalem's municipal tap water is safe for drinking. Refilling a reusable water bottle at hotels or public fountains can save 10-15 ILS (approx. $15) per day versus buying bottled water.
- Carry 200-400 ILS (approx. $15 to $30 USD) in cash for markets and street vendors such as those in Mahane Yehuda. Many stalls accept cards but small bakeries and produce stands may require cash.
- Buy a local SIM card or eSIM at the airport or major shops; tourist packages typically cost 30-100 ILS (approx. $15 to $30 USD) for 5-20 GB. Ask your hotel concierge for the nearest mobile provider if needed.
- If you need an accessible room or step-free access, request these features along with photos and confirm floor level before booking, as many historic and Old City hotels lack elevators or ramps.
