It was very private and secure I did not see any homeless people they talked about in there reviews...NONE!!!
The hotel smelled like ciggarets and weed. The floors were dirty. The bed sheets were yellow with stains. The bathroom sink and shower were broken and dripping water. Staff was rude! And to top it off it was infested with roaches. Nastiest place!

Where to stay in Glendale

In the northeastern fringes of the Sonoran Desert, Arizona's capital city overlooks the breathtaking Camelback Mountains. This is a performing arts mecca, with Phoenix Symphony Hall and the Orpheum Theatre for classical music and the Comerica Theatre hosting large-scale concerts. The largest in the Southwest, the Phoenix Art Museum hosts international exhibits. The Phoenix Convention Center covers 25 acres. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is five miles east.
This area north of Downtown Phoenix is named for the venerable Metrocenter Mall, a massive shopping complex with more than 100 stores. Over the years more retail outlets have sprung up along this section of I-17, making the Phoenix Metrocenter area a prime shopping destination. Adjacent to the mall is the 10-acre Castles N' Coasters, the region's best-known amusement park. About 17 miles southwest is Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Top Tips
- Book your Glendale hotel 4-8 weeks before NFL games or major concerts at State Farm Stadium. Rates can rise by 50-150%, and availability drops sharply within two weeks of major events. For the widest choice, compare properties in both Westgate and Arrowhead Ranch during high-demand dates.
- Select a hotel within the Westgate Entertainment District for direct access to State Farm Stadium. Hotels in this area are 0.2-0.8 miles from the venue, keeping event-day rideshare waits under 15 minutes. Many national chains in Westgate offer onsite dining and evening social spaces.
- Plan on using a car or rideshare for most trips, as the Valley Metro light rail doesn't reach Westgate. The drive to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport or downtown Phoenix typically takes 20-35 minutes off-peak. Ask your hotel about shuttle partnerships or preferred rideshare pickup spots.
- Verify hotel parking policies for event dates in advance, as parking surcharges are standard during stadium events. Hotels in Westgate often provide validated access to official stadium lots, reducing the risk of towing that can occur in private, non-hotel lots.
- Build a 1-3 hour weather buffer into your summer travel plans. Daytime temperatures can reach 95-110°F, and monsoon storms (July-September) sometimes delay airport arrivals or shuttles. Confirm outdoor pool and amenity hours with your hotel during severe weather alerts.
- Glendale municipal tap water is safe to drink year-round, but due to high summer temperatures, always carry bottled or refillable water for outings. Hotels commonly offer complimentary water stations in the lobby; ask about refill points at check-in to help prevent dehydration.
- Request accessible room features during booking. Westgate hotels frequently sell out of ADA rooms for major events. Reconfirm your accessibility needs 48-72 hours before arrival and ask about step-free routes to event shuttles or dining areas.
- Most Arizona hotels operate linen-reuse and water conservation policies. If you want daily housekeeping or full linen changes, request this at check-in. Review towel and bedding replacement schedules posted in-room for transparency.
- Use loyalty program status with brands like Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt in the Westgate area to enjoy early check-in or complimentary upgrades when available. During event periods, top-tier members often receive parking discounts or late checkout. Verify these benefits directly with your hotel before arrival.
