For the cost..I was pleased. This was a spontaneous stay and we usually stay at resorts. The location is ideal for friends and family who want to meet up quickly and do overnight. You are in the middle of great dining, clubs, and the beach.

The location and the architecture/style of the property.
Location on the strip, right across the street was the beach. Never ate on the strip, I'm vegan so there were some good options. Under the Mango tree was less than a mile walk. Apple A Day was little over a mile, still walking distance, but worth the walk
When I arrived I was notified that my reservation was canceled and I didn’t have a room. They staff admitted it was an over booking error on their part.

Where to stay in Miami Beach
Learn about the top neighbourhoods of Miami Beach
This is South Beach with the volume turned down. Set a few blocks from the party crowds along Ocean Drive and sprawling all the way west to encompass Belle Isle, this area offers a more laid-back vibe. Indulge in retail therapy along Lincoln Road Mall, the "Fifth Avenue of the South," or enjoy the dozens of bars and clubs along the hip and happening nightlife strip of Washington Avenue.
Nestled about midway between Bal Harbour and South Beach, this coastal stretch is a quieter spot that's still close to the action. You'll find plenty of graze-worthy restaurants and stunning architecture, particularly around the Faena District.
The strip of candy-colored art-deco masterpieces along Ocean Drive is stunning during the day, but when the sun goes down the whole place takes on a carnival atmosphere, with open-air bars, breezy sidewalk cafes and restaurants packed with romantic couples and groups of young people enjoying a weekend getaway. The area's small boutique hotels range from fun and funky to glitzy and glamorous, but they're all in smartly updated older buildings that share views of the world-famous beach. Parking is limited, and resort fees add a bit to the bottom line.

Top Tips
- Book Miami Beach hotels 3 to 6 months ahead for the December-April peak season, as rates can surge 25-40%, especially during major events like Art Basel. Extend your stay midweek to avoid the highest weekend rate jumps.
- Expect mandatory resort fees of $20-$65 per night, which are typically excluded from the advertised price. Verify the fee details before booking so you can budget accurately.
- Hotels in Mid-Beach or North Beach often provide comparable beach access with 15-40% lower rates than South Beach. Discover local beachfront parks and quieter stretches within a 10-15 minute walk.
- If remote work is essential, check typical Wi-Fi speeds at your hotel. Download rates usually range from 15-50 Mbps; confirm with the property if you need a stronger connection for video calls, as speeds can vary.
- Parking at Miami Beach hotels is generally $30-$60 per day for onsite or valet services. Public garages or street parking nearby may cost less, but check availability in advance, especially during events.
- Request an accessible, step-free or ADA-compliant room if you have mobility needs. Many historic Art Deco hotels feature stairs and may lack elevator or ramp access, so confirm accessibility features with your hotel before booking.
- Hurricane season in Miami Beach runs June through November, which may affect cancellation policies or service reliability. To protect your plans, consider flexible booking options or travel insurance.
- Nightlife areas such as Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road commonly exceed 60 dB after dark. For a quieter stay, choose accommodations at least 3-4 blocks away or request an interior-facing room.
- Use your room safe to store passports and valuables, and carry only one payment card when exploring crowded areas like Ocean Drive. Stay alert in busy tourist zones to minimize pickpocketing risk.
- For reliable business-grade internet, full-service resorts or downtown Miami hotels usually offer faster, more stable Wi-Fi than small boutiques. Confirm internet speed directly with your hotel if this is a key need.
