I liked the location of the hotel, but one big drawback is paid parking and there is no kettle in the room to heat up water for tea.

It was so beautiful. Their staff are very friendly and you hardly knew they were there! They also keep a sharp eye on the details. They were constantly checking the bathroom to make sure it was clean and stocked with anything running low.

Top Tips
- Reserve 45-90 days in advance for major Arlington or D.C. events, such as the cherry blossom festival (late March to early April) or federal holiday weekends. These dates see midrange hotels selling out quickly in Arlington due to fast Metro access to downtown D.C.; booking ahead ensures room availability and competitive rates.
- Confirm on-site parking fees with your hotel before arrival, as charges average $15 to $45 per day at Arlington properties. Public garages or ParkMobile lots nearby often cost less for multi-day stays. If needed, ask your hotel concierge for local garage details.
- Select a room on floors above the 6th and request one facing away from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport approach or main traffic corridors like Route 50 or Rosslyn to minimize airport and street noise. Noise levels are higher in Crystal City and Rosslyn, especially at peak travel times.
- Check in advance for a step-free route to your hotel’s nearest Metro station. Use WMATA’s online Elevator Status tool on your arrival day to verify elevator or escalator availability, as outages can be common and may affect accessible travel.
- Basic free Wi-Fi in Arlington hotels typically supports browsing but often restricts uploads or streaming. If video calls or sustained uploads matter for your stay, confirm the internet speed (Mbps) in advance or test upon arrival; paid tiers commonly offer higher speeds.
- Refill reusable water bottles at hotel water stations or using Arlington’s tap, which is treated, potable, and safe for drinking. This reduces single-use plastic waste and saves on bottled water costs.
- When comparing hotel rates, request the final nightly total - including all mandatory resort, convenience, county, and state occupancy taxes - before confirming your booking. Extra fees in Arlington can add 15-20% or more to room rates.
- Choose your hotel neighborhood based on activities: Ballston and Clarendon offer clusters of restaurants and bars within a 1-3 block walk for dining and nightlife. For quick access to airports and conventions, Crystal City and Pentagon City place you within 1-2 Metro stops (under 10 minutes) of DCA and meeting venues.
- For fastest airport access, select a hotel in Crystal City or National Landing. Both are within one Metro stop (3-5 minutes) of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) via the Yellow or Blue WMATA lines, saving on taxi fare and travel time.
