I have stayed here before. The staff are the kindest and most accommodating. Even though it is out of the way for most business dealings, I would stay again without any reservations. The friendliness of the courtesy staff is a big selling point to me.

Everything, such as its location, foods, staffs, etc., was wonderful, considering its hotel charge.
This hotel was convenient, and its hotel charge was reasonable! I stayed on the 11th floor. In that case, you can enjoy a nice view of Mekong/Tonle Sap River!

I use a walker and a cane for mobility. the staff has gone out of their way to assist me with dinning tables to even helping me into the pool. The room (005) was good sized, but showing some age. The bed, OH yes you will love the SOFT bed.

Top Tips
- Rates rise by 30-50% during Khmer New Year (April 13-16) and the Water Festival (Bon Om Touk, October/November). Book your Phnom Penh hotel 2 to 3 months in advance to avoid surges and compare early booking discounts or festival packages from major hotel chains. Confirm free cancellation or amendment policies for your specific dates.
- Most Phnom Penh hotels add a 10% VAT and a 10% service charge, increasing the total cost by approximately 21% over the base room rate. Always verify the full price, including all taxes and fees, before you book.
- Bring clean US dollar bills (issued after 2006) in small denominations; USD is broadly accepted, but you will often receive change in Cambodian riel (KHR). Most hotel ATMs dispense USD, and at major properties, staff or the concierge can point you to the nearest ATM or onsite currency exchange.
- Use the official airport taxi booth or ride-hailing apps like Grab or PassApp for a predictable fare from the airport to the city, typically KHR 24,000-48,000 (approx. $6-$15 USD) depending on vehicle type. If arriving late, pre-book your transfer or confirm your hotel's transfer services for convenience.
- BKK1 (Boeung Keng Kang 1) offers mid-range hotels, coworking spaces, and cafes, while Riverside (Sisowath Quay/Daun Penh) is better located for sightseeing but averages 10-20% higher nightly rates. Many leading hotels in these areas offer complimentary shuttle service to attractions, so ask at check-in or review amenities before arrival.
- Wi-Fi speeds at budget guesthouses often drop in the evenings. Some international hotel chains guarantee minimum speeds or provide premium plans or business lounges; if reliable internet is essential, ask about these options or test speed at check-in.
- Negotiate your tuk-tuk fare before starting a short trip in central Phnom Penh, with typical rides costing KHR 6,000-15,000 (approx. $1.50-$3.75 USD). Ride-hailing apps provide upfront pricing for greater transparency.
- Carry only the necessary cash and store your passport and valuables in a digital hotel safe. Petty theft and motorbike bag-snatching can occur around Riverside and popular markets; avoid leaving belongings unattended in public areas.
- Tap water in Phnom Penh is not considered safe for drinking. Most hotels provide bottled water at no charge or for a fee up to KHR 12,000 (approx. $3 USD) per bottle depending on the property. Refillable water stations are increasingly common at larger hotels aiming for sustainability; ask about free refills or daily bottle quotas on arrival.
- If you need a room with step-free access or elevator service, confirm these features directly with the property in advance. Many older guesthouses and boutique hotels have stairs-only layouts; request ground-floor rooms or details on ramp access and accessible amenities if required.
