The location was wonderful, everything else not so much.
I liked that it was on the top floor, and that I couldn't hear the street traffic.
It had everything I needed from tooth brushes to razors and toothpaste. The bathroom was awesome too.

The convenience of being at the Haneda airport. As it is located at the terminal it has the conveniences of not only its own onsite restaurant but everything available at Haneda Terminal Two.

All the little things out provided including slippers, razors, a sleeping gown... So much stuff.

The location is wonderful; most rooms have wonderful views either to the pond or the park. As expected in most Japanese hotels, cleanliness and service are top notch. As expected in most Tokyo hotels, the rooms are confortable but with limited space.
The location is phenomenal. Right near to Ueno park, zoo and train station. Including the Skyline (far express) train to Narita airport
Clean, easy access on everything, great hotel staff, strong water pressure, nice toilet, easy checkout.

The hotel isn¿t bad, it¿s small but affordable. Could be cleaner. Also most of the staff were amazing and helpful except for one lady named Li Hui. She had the worst attitude. Definitely should not be in a customer service role.

Loved the location, the high floors and view and that it was techy.
The hotel location is very convenient, there are number of dining options very close by. The staff were very friendly and the room was very nice. Great view of the city.
I don't know if I'd give this 4 stars, I'd say it was a pretty average hotel. Definitely not bad, but not exceptional. Super friendly staff, not the most fluent English speakers.

The location and the price. The breakfast was also solid, especially since we didn't have to reserve a specific time. The public spa was a nice touch and I also liked the TV interface that showed when it was busy, along with other stay details.
The location. Very easy and close access to Shinjuku-Gyoemmae station, very convenient to access all areas of Tokyo. 15 minute walk to Shinjuku. Convenient shops very close by.
It was very clean, housekeeping & hotel services were thoughful & excellent services; fresh towels, robes & amenities given daily although housekeeping cleaning is every 3rd day. Front desk staff were all very polite and helpful.

There was a lady that helps guests when they need to take the metro. She always gave us the right instructions and we never got lost. We're thankful to the hotel for having such helpful people that speak English. Our vacation was very successful.

Top Tips
- Book your hotel 30–90 days ahead for cherry blossom season (late March to early April) and 2–3 months ahead for Golden Week (late April to early May) to avoid inventory tightness in central wards like Chiyoda and Shinjuku. For popular dates, confirm cancellation terms before booking to allow for flexibility.
- Select hotels within a 5–12 minute walk of major JR or Yamanote Line stations such as Shinjuku, Shibuya, Tokyo, or Ikebukuro. This typically keeps your city transfers within 10–30 minutes and provides quick access to popular attractions and shopping.
- For the fastest airport access, stay near Ueno or Nippori for the Narita Skyliner (about 41 minutes to Narita Airport), or near Hamamatsucho or Shinagawa for Haneda Airport (13–20 minutes by monorail or Keikyu Line). Verify your departure terminal early, as some hotels provide free shuttle reservations for guests.
- Business hotel single rooms are typically compact at 10–14 square meters. Book a 'twin' or 'deluxe' room (20–30 square meters) if you require a workspace for remote work or have larger luggage.
- Most hotels offer check-in from 15:00 and check-out at 10:00–11:00. Early check-in usually incurs a fee (about 50–100% of a single night's rate). Request free luggage storage or day-use room options if arriving early or departing late.
- Carry a 7-Eleven-compatible debit or credit card or cash. Seven Bank ATMs in 7-Eleven stores accept most foreign cards 24/7, while Japan Post ATMs operate mainly during regular banking hours. Daily ATM withdrawal limits may differ from your home country, so verify your limit in advance.
- Tipping is not customary in Tokyo, including hotels and restaurants. Luxury hotel restaurants or banquets may add an automatic service charge of 10–15% to your bill.
- If you have visible tattoos, confirm tattoo-friendly policies or request a private or reserved onsen timeslot (often for an additional fee) before booking hotels with communal baths or onsens, as policies vary. Some hotels offer private bath options that are more inclusive for guests with tattoos or accessibility needs.
- Hotel Wi-Fi speeds range from 20–100+ Mbps, but can vary. For reliable connectivity, especially for work, consider a local eSIM or pocket Wi-Fi, available for rent at the airport or some hotel front desks.
- Research noise levels by micro-neighborhood. Areas like Kabukichō (Shinjuku) and some of Roppongi have street noise past midnight, while hotels on the west side of Shinjuku or near department stores are generally quieter. For reduced street noise, request a room on a higher floor.
- Use Yamato/TA-Q-BIN (takkyubin) to send luggage between airports, hotels, and ryokans within Tokyo. Delivery typically costs 800–1,500 JPY (approx. $6–$11 USD) per medium bag, and most major hotels can arrange this service at the front desk.
