Majority of the staff was friendly until we had to engage the manager about the bed bugs. The owners of the pool bar were friendly.
Beautiful location on beach with great view. The room was very clean and bed was comfortable.
The fact there was a restaurant there (had only been opened for 3 weeks though!) otherwise taxies get very pricey every time you need/want to go somewhere else. The beach itself is nice. Very quiet. Not much going on here.

The ambiance and old style feel matched the gorgeous view of the ocean. The staff were friendlier than the people who live in the area! Very accommodating!

The location is really remote but absolutely beautiful. The beach access can't be beat. The rooms are really nice but are definitely in need of some minor maintenance and repairs.

We loved the location and access to the beach. The bar area was cool too and the rolling smoke stand was delicious. The room was well put together and the staff was friendly. Everything was great for our stay, the boat staff was also friendly.

This was the worst hotel experience I¿ve ever had in my life. There was garbage everywhere the room was filthy. The pool didn¿t work the inner that didn¿t work. The best thing about this hotel it was in St Croix. Everything else was horrible.

Top Tips
- Book 3 to 6 months ahead for winter peak season (December–April) to avoid 50-100% price surges. Monitor event calendars in Saint Thomas, as festivals like Carnival can also impact rates and availability. Set a rate alert to track price drops for your preferred travel window.
- Estimate your nightly cost by adding 25-30% onto base rates for taxes, service charges, and typical resort fees. Check your booking breakdown in advance for full clarity.
- East End properties typically report 30-50% lower crime rates and offer more tranquil beaches than Charlotte Amalie’s port area. Enjoy easy access to local snorkel spots and restaurants like Mim’s Seaside Bistro along with rates from $150 to $250 USD per night.
- Confirm your hotel Wi-Fi offers 20-50 Mbps speeds, as outages can last up to 2 hours during the summer rainy season. Business centers or lounges may provide more consistent service. Bring a power bank for ongoing connectivity.
- Keep valuables in your hotel’s safe. Visitor surveys report a 40% drop in losses with this step, as minor scams are reported 15-20% more often here compared to the mainland US. Ask hotel staff about safe deposit or security support if needed.
- Around 70% of major hotels offer step-free access via ramps or elevators. Notify your hotel about accessibility needs when booking, as older Charlotte Amalie properties may need 48 hours’ advance notice. Ask about accessible dining or pool facilities.
- During the dry season (February–May), rainfall averages 50% lower. Conserve water by reusing towels or linens and choosing Green Key-certified hotels with low-flow fixtures. Ask at check-in about the property’s sustainability policies.
- ATM withdrawal fees are typically $3 to $5 USD, which is up to twice the rate on the US mainland. Use a no-foreign-transaction-fee card and ask if your hotel offers cash-back at the front desk to sidestep extra charges.
