Breakfast. Friendly staff.
I found it went beyond my expectations especially after I stayed in 2 other Best Weztern Plus which were not as good. I gave 9 in overall because I would have liked a microwave.

The room was clean comfortable and had everything we needed and the breakfast was terrific.
Location, cleanliness and convenient parking. Visiting in winter after a major snow storm eliminated the surrounding views of the river but this did not effect the comfort of the room or the friendliness of the staff. Thanks Donna!
Proximity to Twisp River and core dining.

Perfect location. Huge amount of space as a full one bedroom with a wood fireplace and plenty of wood. Couldn't ask for a better place for our stay in Manson on Lake Chelan.

Top Tips
- Reserve your hotel in Okanogan 2-6 weeks before the August Omak Stampede, a signature regional event drawing crowds annually. Area motels frequently reach full capacity, and remaining options may be 20-40 minutes away. Book now to secure accommodation near US-97 for shorter travel between events and lodging, and confirm flexible cancellation policies if booking ahead.
- Monitor air quality with AirNow or WA Dept. of Ecology forecasts, especially in August-September wildfire season when AQI can reach 'Unhealthy' levels. Pack N95 or KN95 masks for outdoor activities if AQI is above 150, and check if your hotel lobby offers filtered air or complimentary masks at the front desk. Guests with sensitivities or children should confirm HVAC filtration with the property before booking.
- Confirm in-room internet speed (Mbps) directly with your hotel, as rural Okanogan County properties may have Wi-Fi below 10-25 Mbps. Major chains often provide faster connections, but expect slowdowns during full occupancy, especially in the evening. Business travelers needing video calls should request a room near the lobby or business center, and pre-download large files if high-speed is essential.
- Choose accommodations within 0-5 miles of US-97 in Okanogan or Omak for reliable grocery, gas, and cellular coverage. Most branded hotels are in this corridor, ensuring access to national retail chains and emergency services. Travelers with accessibility needs will find better access to accessible taxis and paratransit, and should call ahead to confirm cellular network compatibility if using a non-mainstream provider.
- Rent a car for your stay, as public transit and rideshare in Okanogan County are limited. Personal vehicles are essential for reaching grocery stores, attractions, and trailheads. Rental cars are available in Omak with flexible pickup hours (usually 08:00-19:00); hotel guests can ask about partner agency discounts. Reserve accessible vehicles or child safety seats in advance, and review Washington State’s car seat laws if traveling with children.
- For August visits, check that your accommodation has air conditioning or access to river cooling, as indoor temperatures often exceed 90°F. Many older motels lack modern AC, so request a room with updated climate controls for safety. Ask if cold bottled water is provided at check-in during heatwaves, and guests with respiratory concerns should specify their needs when reserving.
- Exterior-corridor motels are typical; call ahead to confirm step-free access, grab-bar availability, and visual alarms, as accessibility features vary. If mobility is a concern, ask about elevator access or ground-floor rooms, and confirm accessible parking locations. Review the property’s accessibility statement online or request it via email.
- During wildfire or storm season, temporary power outages may occur. Bring a 10,000-20,000 mAh battery pack, and check if your hotel has backup generators for elevators and emergency lighting. National brand hotels often maintain emergency lighting and public charging stations. Travelers with medical devices should arrange uninterrupted power support with hotel staff beforehand, and include local emergency contact numbers, such as the Okanogan County Sheriff, in your travel papers.
