It’s a new hotel. Very clean, good location and priced well for the area. No fuss , plain room but nice bedding. Went to a diner for breakfast about 7 minutes from the hotel on the main road into UVA and it was good.

The location, staff and cleanliness of the place were all in par with better than other hotels of the Choice family. I would definitely stay here again but perhaps not during winter.
We have stayed here a lot this year as we cleaned out our parents home. The staff is always friendly and realized on our first visit we liked the top floor. Since then we always get a top floor room. Everyone is friendly and helpful
The front desk staff were pleasant and friendly. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked with a variety of items. The bed was comfortable and the room was dark enough. We could control the room temperature.

Affordable, conveniently located, personable staff, quiet. We had a thunder and rainstorm the first night I was there, and the power flickered off, but the hotel had power up and running in less than 5 minutes.

Very clean and comfortable.
The hotel was clean and nice. The beds were not very comfortable, but satisfactory for as one night stay. This is our second stay and we like the convenient location. Wish there was a complementary breakfast also, but there is just a restaurant.

Top Tips
- Book hotel rooms 60-90 days ahead for University of Virginia (UVA) Commencement in mid-May and home football weekends, as major events drive rates up to 50% higher and quickly fill rooms near Downtown and the University.
- Choose accommodations within a 5-10 minute walk (0.3-0.6 mi) of the Downtown Mall, Charlottesville’s main dining and entertainment area, to enjoy over 30 restaurants and live music, and to minimize the need for paid parking or rideshares.
- Check your hotel's parking policy and daily fees, which can range from $15 to $25, compared to nearby city-operated lots that may be less expensive or offer free weekend parking.
- Reserve winery tours and tastings ahead of time, especially on weekends, since most Charlottesville wineries (over 14 within a 45-minute drive) require bookings and may have limited accessible seating. Confirm availability when reserving.
- Request a room toward the rear or on a higher floor if staying May to October to reduce noise from major outdoor events or nightly live music near the Downtown Mall. Hotel staff can advise on quieter locations.
- If your visit overlaps UVA events or major concerts, review the hotel’s cancellation window; free cancellation is often available if you book flexible rates, protecting you if event dates change.
- Fly into Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO), the closest airport, for a convenient 12-20 minute (13-16 mi) taxi or ride-share to most hotels near Downtown or UVA. Airport shuttles may require a reservation, so verify the schedule with your hotel in advance.
