I was tired after my trip I got clean room, that need a few amenities to finish the decor of the room. The bathroom was clean enough to use but needed a better cleaning. Compared to the former hotel I¿d just left it was a welcomed experience.

Top Tips
- Secure your room 4-8 weeks in advance for Orangeburg events, or 2-3 months for Claflin University and South Carolina State University graduations or homecoming, since these events often lead to near-full hotel occupancy. Confirm change or cancellation policies, as event-driven dates sometimes shift.
- Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) is located approximately 35-45 miles (56-72 km) from Orangeburg, with a typical drive of 40-50 minutes via I-26. If arriving late, check your hotel's front desk hours for after-hours check-in.
- Major hotel chains along the Charleston Highway (US-21) and I-26 corridor consistently offer 24-hour front desks and complimentary breakfast. Compare these with downtown independent hotels, where amenities may vary; review advertised features before booking.
- Expect hot, humid summers, with July average highs of 90-93°F (32-34°C) and regular thunderstorms from June to August. Ensure your reservation includes functional air conditioning, and request an accessible room during booking if needed.
- Most chain and roadside motels in Orangeburg include free on-site parking, but downtown inns or bed and breakfasts may have limited spaces or charge valet fees. Confirm parking details in advance to avoid unexpected costs.
- For medical access, select a centrally located hotel within a 5-10 minute drive of Orangeburg Calhoun Regional Medical Center, which is situated within city limits. If you require step-free or accessible accommodations, request these features during booking.
