The location is great: close to all the restaurants/shops, and short drive up to Presque Isle State Park. Very clean, staff were great, plenty of parking, good breakfast.
The quietness !
Nothing. We didn?t stay. They had no power. When we got there they didn?t have our reservation. So we left because we weren?t just going to sit in our car. The hotel now won?t give us a refund even though they didn?t have power to accommodate us. Terrible

Top Tips
- Reserve your Erie hotel 30-45 days in advance for late-May through early-September weekend stays, as demand rises for events at Presque Isle State Park and Waldameer & Water World. Booking ahead improves your selection and rate options, especially at national chains and waterfront properties.
- Expect a 10-15 minute drive from Erie International Airport (ERI) to downtown hotels. If you are arriving or departing outside 06:00-22:00, pre-arrange a hotel shuttle or taxi since rental car supply and rideshares are limited after hours.
- Bayfront hotels provide direct access to the Bayfront Parkway and the Erie Maritime Museum, but typically cost more than hotels 5-10 minutes inland by car. Compare total price—including parking and resort fees—before booking on the waterfront.
- For winter stays (November-March), choose hotels with flexible cancellation or change policies since localized lake-effect snow can cause sudden heavy accumulation and travel delays.
- Suburban chain hotels in Erie usually offer free parking, but downtown and bayfront hotels may charge $15-25 per night. Confirm hotel parking policies and available accessible parking before your trip.
- Request a room with a view of Presque Isle or the Bayfront for sunrise and lakeside scenery, or ask for a room on an upper floor or away from the Bayfront Parkway to reduce traffic noise, especially during festival weekends.
