Being located in a ski resort, this condo felt safe and was close to nature. The setting was beautiful.
The unit was larger than we expected and the appliances were up to date and really exceeded our expectations. The area was very quiet and we were very comfortable.
Convenient location. Winterplace Condo unit M-202. Would not recommend this particular unit but would definitely stay at Winterplace again if we could get a better unit.

There was nothing I liked about this hotel. Run down and dirty. Way over priced for a "economy" hotel. Paint flaking off the walls. They charged me twice. Didn't know I signed out. Very loud. Parking lot right outside my window.
The location was great for what I needed, the bed was pretty comfortable and the check in process was extremely easy.

Top Tips
- Rates near Dartmouth College and DHMC rise significantly, and hotels fill quickly during Dartmouth Commencement (mid-June) and Homecoming (October). Secure your Lebanon accommodation 8-12 weeks in advance for these events. Ask your hotel about event shuttle services or partner discounts for guests attending campus activities.
- Expect New Hampshire’s Meals & Rooms tax on your lodging and dining bills; this state tax applies to all hotels and prepared meals, even though retail sales in NH typically lack sales tax. Verify if your rate includes tax to avoid surprises at checkout.
- Advance Transit provides fare-free weekday buses linking Lebanon, West Lebanon, Hanover, and Dartmouth-Hitchcock, with core routes running every 30 minutes. Check with your hotel about real-time bus info displays or shuttle connections at major stops, which many chains now offer.
- Lebanon Municipal Airport (LEB) has limited commercial departures; confirm flight days and times well ahead, especially for late-night arrivals. Several hotels provide airport pickup on request; arrange this when booking to ensure ground transport upon arrival.
- Hotels in West Lebanon generally offer more competitive nightly rates and include free parking, a cost-saving advantage compared to Hanover properties. Enjoy easy highway access to I-89 and shopping centers within 2 miles (3.2 km). Ask about complimentary breakfast or gym access to get full value from your stay.
- Add 30-60 minutes to your drive in winter snowstorms, as Upper Valley roads may require extra clearance. Many hotels offer snow shuttles or flexible late-arrival policies, so confirm these for time-sensitive visits, especially medical appointments at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
- For accessibility, ask your hotel about rooms with step-free access or elevators; some inns may only have stairs. Request written confirmation for accessible room features like roll-in showers or visual alarms, which are available at most major chains.
- Book car rentals and ride-shares early, as availability in the Upper Valley is limited outside peak hours. Hotels with onsite car rentals or partner shuttle services can simplify pickups; confirm these options at booking, especially if arriving after 8:00 pm.
