Nothing was as it showed on their website, the entire place is under construction. The only good part was that when we choose not to stay we got our refund right away.

The hotel is an indepedent without a brand affiliation. As a hospitality worker for the past 43 years, they are doing GREAT ON THEIR OWN! The hotel is nicely appointed, the beds are COMFORTABLE and the building and grounds are CLEAN! I will return, OFTEN!

Top Tips
- Book your Gardiner hotel 6-9 months ahead for summer (June-August); rates typically rise 20-30% and rooms fill quickly. Prioritize early booking to secure accessible rooms and flexible cancellation if available.
- Driving from Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) to Gardiner takes about 80-90 miles (1.5-2 hours) via I-90/US-89. Plan ahead for possible traffic near the park entrance during peak mornings.
- The Yellowstone entrance fee is $35 (7-day pass), payable at the park’s North Entrance, not at your hotel. Confirm card and cash payment options, and bring ID for possible verification.
- Many Gardiner hotels close mid-October through March, which can limit options and change pricing. Confirm your chosen property's seasonal status and accessible room availability before booking.
- Stay within 0.5-1 mile of Yellowstone's North Entrance to save 2-6 minutes per trip. This lets you maximize park access, especially for early wildlife viewing and mobility needs.
- Bear spray is strongly advised in Yellowstone, including the Mammoth area. Follow park and hotel food storage rules, as storing food in rooms may be restricted for safety; ask the front desk about secure options.
- Cellular and Wi-Fi service can be spotty, especially inside Yellowstone; Gardiner’s center offers the most reliable connection. Download park maps and hotel confirmations in advance.
- EV fast chargers are not currently available in Gardiner; nearest options are in Bozeman or Livingston, requiring a 1.5-2 hour detour. Confirm with your hotel about outlet access or local charging alternatives.
- Outside June-August, Gardiner’s grocery stores and restaurants often close early or reduce hours. Stock up on essentials in Bozeman or check hours for local services ahead of arrival.
- If arriving before standard check-in, contact your hotel in writing about luggage hold or early check-in. Policies differ, especially among smaller properties; request accessible handling if needed.
