The indoor pool and the friendly staff along with location and i can't forget the microwave has been a big deal in most upscale hotels.
Even though they were remodeling they kept it clean and nice. Breakfast was good as well.

Good location to downtown historic district. Not crowded (think we were only ones there). Large grounds with plenty of room. Third floor balcony had nice view.
The "old"-ness of it, all the antiques, the style... so beautiful and still so comfortable. I loved the squeaky old stairs, all the levels, the balcony porches, the rooftop, and the history of the property.

AC unit is the ubiquitous p-tac conditioner and these are generally poor performers in removing moisture from the air. This one worked well.
