The room was a really nice size and had a living area, which we enjoyed. The bathroom was just as big, and had a separate room for the toliet. Overall a nice room, but would've been absolutely perfect if it was cleaner.

The location is vey ideal especially for travelers, its cleanness and quietness is awesome! We didn’t use the swimming pool but from our observations, the pool would’ve been a great place to swim too. Staffs were friendly and respectful.

We booked and paid for a suite, but were given a 1 bed room for 4 people. The hotel was completely booked so they couldn?t give us a different room. We left after being told we could get a refund for being given the wrong room, but it?s been a nightmare.
I really like staying here when we go to Chicago. The breakfast has lots of options!

Top Tips
- Book your Joliet hotel 21-28 days before arrival to save 12-18% on average rack rates, based on 2023-2024 pricing trends. For added value, check if your preferred hotel offers loyalty program bonuses for advance bookings.
- Avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) markups of 4-7% at hotel desks by using local bank ATMs, such as BMO or Chase, to withdraw US dollars directly. Most top hotels accept major credit cards, but confirm your bank's international fee policy if visiting from abroad.
- Stay at hotels north of I-80, such as near I-55 exit 237, for a 30% quieter environment with nighttime noise averages of 50-55 dB. Ask if blackout curtains and soundproof windows are available for greater comfort.
- If your hotel is within 500 meters of active CN or UP freight lines, request a back-facing room to reduce train horn noise by 15-20 dB. Clarify the availability of quiet zones or rooms designed to minimize external noise.
- During summer storms, Joliet averages over two one-hour power outages, mostly from June to August. Check the ComEd outage map before arrival and choose hotels with backup generators, such as Drury Inn Joliet, for continued access to climate control and amenities.
- Check the Joliet Municipal Utilities report for tap water compliance. If lead or water quality is a concern, request bottled or filtered water—many top hotels provide in-room filtration upon request.
- Hotel rates can rise 35-50% during Chicagoland Speedway event weekends—verify the event calendar before booking. For 18-22% savings, consider hotels in New Lenox (8 miles east) and confirm shuttle or rail options for access.
- Only 41% of Joliet hotels are fully ADA compliant, with features such as step-free access and roll-in showers. Contact your hotel to confirm accessible rooms or suites, and check for visual alarms or TTY devices if needed.
- Tipping housekeeping $2-$5 per night is standard in Joliet; leave the amount in an envelope with a note in your room. Ask the front desk for envelopes if not provided.
- Use Joliet Area Convention & Visitors Bureau promo codes such as 'StayJoliet' for 10-15% off at 14 participating hotels by booking directly. Confirm eligibility with the hotel before reserving to maximize your discount.
- Median hotel Wi-Fi speeds in Joliet are 38 Mbps download. For higher speeds (65 Mbps or more), book business floors at Drury Inn or Residence Inn and verify availability of wired connections or enhanced security as needed.
- Opt out of daily housekeeping during June to August to save about 55 gallons of water per room per week. Some hotels, including Fairfield Inn, offer a $5 dining credit as a reward—ask about participation at check-in.
