Top Tips
- Book Garden Grove hotels 2-8 weeks in advance for typical stays. For the Memorial Day Strawberry Festival or major Disneyland periods, book 8-16 weeks ahead to avoid peak rates and limited availability. If booking for a group or during school holidays, verify group rate policies directly with the hotel.
- Hotels along Harbor Boulevard and Brookhurst offer efficient access to both Disneyland and Little Saigon, typically within 2-3 miles (5-12 minutes by car). Confirm the route for public transit or shuttle options if you prefer not to drive.
- For step-free access and lower street noise, request a ground-floor, interior-facing room when staying at Garden Grove's 1-3 story exterior-corridor motels. Confirm the availability of accessible room features in advance if mobility needs apply.
- John Wayne Airport (SNA) provides the shortest transfers to Garden Grove, averaging 15-25 minutes by car. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is farther, with typical transfers of 40-70 minutes. Before traveling, check for real-time traffic or shuttle schedules.
- Garden Grove hotels generally offer 10-30% lower base rates than Anaheim Resort properties outside event periods. Always review total costs, including parking and taxes, before confirming your booking.
- Not all hotels include complimentary Disneyland shuttle service; confirm details with your hotel before arrival. If unavailable, plan for ride-share services, which typically cost $15 to $20 one way during off-peak hours.
- Most Garden Grove hotels provide free onsite parking. If you require overnight, oversized vehicle, or long-stay parking, check specific hotel policies to avoid additional fees.
- Discover lower-cost and late-night dining by visiting Vietnamese restaurants in Little Saigon along Bolsa Avenue and Brookhurst, many open until 10-11 PM. Meals here are typically 30-60% cheaper than dining in the Anaheim Resort area.
