Hotel Guest Reviews of the W Fort Lauderdale

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

This hotel is exactly what you expect for the star rating. It is on the beach with towel, water, chair and umbrella service included in the resort fee. (Other hotels have chairs included but the umbrella is an extra $20.) You also get free bike rental.
At the time of my visit (8/15/17) the pool area was not what I would expect from this hotel, and the bar drinks are twice as high as you see them anywhere else, including other hotel bars. Other than that, this place is pretty much perfect.

The decor and rooms are amazing. Fantastic pool facilities with luxurious pillows and daybeds. On the best part of the beach in Fort Lauderdale and walkable to many restaurants and bars.
The pool decks were frequently dirty and paint was peeling. I did not expect that for a newly renovated property. Also the beach chairs were old and dirty, not luxurious.

The staff were very friendly, the rooms were nice and well maintained. The pool was great, and the location was fantastic
Well, the hotel is VERY big on micro-purchases. You get charged for PARKING, at a rate of $41 (after-tax) PER NIGHT! Which I thought was a little ridiculous. You get charged a Resort Fee of $35 PER NIGHT. If you want Wi-Fi, you must pay about $30 PER DAY!

Food and the room was fantastic.
Was charged for things billed to my room that I am still trying to get refunded on my credit card.

Great location. Great staff.
They advertised bikes with resort fee but didn't have any. They did offer to pay for rentals from street bikes. Fair enough. Currently under renovations, so a bit of an inconvenience. Not enough to take away from the great location!!!!

staff was super friendly
no ice machine on each floor---c'mon this is a "resort!" annoying lobby construction, circuitous routing; 4 sided bldg had one entry (plus restaurant entry to navigate your room)...parking was messy @36$/nte--i parked across street at small hotel=10$!!
