Hotel Guest Reviews of the Skytop Lodge

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The grounds of the hotel are absolutely beautiful. They had great programming and activities for children.
Parts of the facilities were incredibly dated. Towels for the indoor pool were practically rags - thin, old, unraveling ends and were mismatched. The spa facility had paint peeling in the bathroom, old robes and clumsy decorations.

The location and the grounds were beautiful. The gardens made you feel like you were transported to a little English tea garden.
The restaurants did not offer a wide selection

The staff was courteous. The place was very clean and kept up well. I liked the old time charm of it. The pools were nice and so was the lake. There were a lot of things to do for the kids but not as much for the adults.
Do not plan on renting a bike there. They are in the worst shape possible and the staff has no idea of how to fix them. The room was small. I would like to have seen more adults only games being organized like volleyball. Every activity costs $$

The hotel was old but very charming. Definitely had a lot of character and the rooms were renovated enough that you didn't think it was run down. A little secluded so it was quiet and peaceful.
The Lakeview Restaurant could have improved its wait staff service. Was pretty slow when the restaurant wasn't full to capacity.

Nice historic hotel in a pretty rural Pennsylvania setting
Very expensive for small room. Would not recommend it unless you planned on partaking in the various activitie all were expensive. Charged extra activity fee if you did not make reservations directly without hotel. Extra cost for everything.
