Hotel Guest Reviews of the Karakahl Country Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location was quaint and convenient. The price, especially with a large event jacking up prices in the entire area, was comparably nice. No bedbugs. Decent flatscreen TV. Vintage vibe. Bathroom was clean.
Pool was closed. Sauna was closed. Deadbolt broken. Appliances and lamps unplugged. Heavy dust in corners and behind furniture. Tub faucet leaked heavily and 1960s fixtures fell off repeatedly. Interior hallway was unlit. No refund for early departure.

The lady at the office was kind.
I arrived was told that the price i got online was wrong, was sent back to the road to find my room, found it it was behind a a woman dressed poorly offering unwanted favors for money .... And her friend smoking a brown cigar that smelled of skunk i left!

I left my favorite hat there, and they sent it via mail back to my home in PA. Also, left valuables and money out ( accidentally) and it stayed exactly where I had left it. Good hotel with honest people.
A little outdated, but considering the age it was great. Linens and towels all smelled like bleach, which was great. A couple of stains on the carpets, but again it is an older hotel. I felt safe there, so I would recommend it in a heartbeat!

Nothing really stands out as being positive for this hotel. The location was the only thing that was somewhat good.
Badly needs updating, but would be better to just knock it down, and rebuild. Beds were uncomfortable, bathroom shower has not been cleaned in a long time. Tile squares were dirty with mildew, mirror was dirty, toilet handle was hard to reach, etc.

From the in-room fridge not being plugged in at all to the paper-thin walls, it was about what I expected for the price. The creepiest part was the owner/operator who leaves the front desk unattended with only a phone and a sign to dial "0". =^C

The price was right! It was an OK hotel with a slight mid century modern vibe to. If the owner exploited that theme more it would be a real gem.
We had an outside light shining in our room from under the roof overhang. It needs a shield around the light to keep it from shining into the window. It was a little far from our activities for the day.
