Hotel Guest Reviews of the City Edge BrisbaneOur hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. If you are looking for somewhere that is well located and are on a really tight budget, then this is the place to choose. You should not want to have to stay in the room during the day or for the evening, simply to be able to have a shower (great pressure and temperature), get dried, make a cup of tea or coffee, change and go out. No luxuries, no frills, simply a decent, clean bed in a small, functional room. Whoever designed the rooms probably was a caravan designer before since every inch of space is used and nothing is wasted. To be blunt ..... if you are a very large person, you will find it difficult to walk round the bed and impossible to use the shower cubicle. This hotel is a large step up from many hostels of the world but only a small step down from many of the hotels in Brisbane. As long as you pay less than AU$--- per night then you are getting great value for money compared to almost everything else. Oh, and I had very helpful staff throughout my 3 night stay and used their discounted car parking on the final night and saved almost AU$50 ...

It met our expectations and we were satisfied. Rooms are small but clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom is cruise ship size. Only bath towels are provided, no face or hand towels - changed daily. Friendly staff. Great location - we arrived by train and walked everywhere. Shampoo is not provided - $0.75 at desk. There is noticeable traffic noise - our room was at front on floor above street level. The AC cooled the room quickly, but it was noisy and the temperature couldn't be adjusted. Room had bar fridge and kettle - no microwave or cooking. There's a restaurant in the hotel and many nearby.
