The room itself, furniture, bedding, etc. was new and modern . TV was a beautiful flat screen with many channels. Breakfast was decent.
Bathroom was dirty. Specifically the toilet. Literally “pee” all around the floor. The rest of the bathroom was “cleaner” but couldn’t get over the “pee”. Also, there were a few “drunk” hotel guests

met my need for getting a room from reputable franchise at a location I needed; room was a good value for price paid
toilet appeared to back up, though did not overflow (barely); not sure if one has to hold the handle down longer to promote a proper flush and I wasn't going to try and find out; could just be a toilet issue;never have had such a problem in Hampton inns

The fact that it had finally been updated
My room smelled terrible, the paint job looked cheap, my room had multiple bugs in it, and the front desk attendant was quite unprofessional.

ousekeeping service-- lack of personnel to service rooms --stayed 7nights didn't get room cleaned on 2 days and had to ask for clean towels -- 2 days partial a service - emptied trash and clean towels bed untouched

The room was nice and clean, the staff was courteous and respectful as well as responsive to questions and quick to change rooms when we were given a handicap room.
The only thing that was wrong of course was that this hotel did have some "toolbelt" operations that was not mentioned online.

Nice breakfast.
Checked into room on 5th floor. Clerk had not activated card keys. Went back down to get them activated, Then discovered room had not been cleaned, unmade bed and towels on floor. Went back to get another room. strong smell of paint and new carpet.

My room wasn't cleaned at all while I was there. And when we couldn't login to wifi or detect it all we were told "Oh, well we have it down here", "Come login down here and bring it upstairs" as if it was something you can physically hold. And then sorry

The first room they put me in had an A/C that did not work. The front staff was nice enough to put me in a new room.
