Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Auberge Michel Doyon

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was amazing. The gave us a lot of helpful recommendations as soon as we arrived, and showed us how to use the public transportation system so we could make the most of our stay in QC without having to brave those hills too many times.
The $5 internet fee wasn't really worth it. We couldn't get a strong signal in our room, so I would recommend skipping that part. There is a public computer in the main lobby anyway that is free to use.

I love that there was a microwave and fridge in the room. You could take reliable public transit to all the local attractions (it was only one bus that ran every 10 minutes) and there was free parking at the hotel.

The staff was very friendly, and the room was very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable, there was a fridge and microwave in the room. We drove our car to the hotel and there was free parking on site. However because of where our hotel was located there was no need to drive. There was reliable public transit in front of our hotel that took us to all the local attractions. The bus runs every 10 to 15 minutes. The staff provides you with a map with your way around the city including how to navigate downtown. Overall I really enjoyed my stay. more

Helpful manager who gave us info about Quebec public transportation and where to go. Free parking. Pet friendly
The priceline estimated charge was
XXX At the end we had to pay
XXX that makes $50.89 taxes??? 22% taxes??? Why is it not mentioned anywhere??? I checked the taxes on internet and don't find that taxes amount? Did the hotel rip us off?

We asked a room suite with kitchen, the room was not ready when we arrived, we had to wait an hour after a long car trip. The carpet is stained and disgusting There is nothing to cook in the kitchen and even not a coffee pot!!!! No courtesy soap or shampoo. The only convenience is the location not to far from the city, but for the price we paid, next time I will try to find a room in the heart of the city more

the owner was VERY helpful with getting around and finding things to do
we were upgraded to a private bathroom, but someone else was also given a key to it

This hotel was a great deal, its right on a bus line that is fool proof for getting into the heart of downtown. When my boyfriend and I made reservations, they were for a shared bathroom room. When we got there, Serge upgraded us to a room with a seperate, private bathroom in the hall. However, someone else in the hotel also had a key to the bathroom and used my things that I had left in there since we were told it was a private bathroom and given a key, and the door had our room number and "bathroom" written underneath it. This was my one minor gripe. I didn't mind sharing, I just wouldn't have left my things in there if I had known. Other than that, the stay was wonderful. Serge is absolutely amazing and so helpful with anything you need. more

Low price that could be found at the last minute
Limited services but charged everything

After I spent two nights at a major chain hotel - better location and much more services with a lower bidding price, I cannot say much good words for this hotel. The room is very small and pretty much no service provided. The worst part was, they charged a flat local call rate on the bill. When I checked out, I told them I didn't make any phone call, they still insisted the charge saying no matter you used it or not - this was not informed in advance at all. I don't think I would go back to this one. more
