Hotel Guest Reviews of the Crowne Plaza Queenstown

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Super bed/mattress. Also liked the comforter and all the pillows. Also had a reasonably good partial view on to the lake and the mountains.
The lack of soundproofing between floors: For 3 nights, it sounded like the guests situated directly above me were having an aerobics party! I'd also recommend that springs be installed to reduce the continual slamming of entry room doors for each suite.

The hotel was great. Stayed there 10 nights - the most I've ever stayed at one hotel. The staff and the room were great. One of the reasons why I decided on staying in a good hotel was because I'd been getting very bad cluster headaches for a few weeks straight, so I was looking for a quieter place this time. With respect to other guests: I'd recommend that the Crowne Plaza hotel place a code of ethics on the inside of every door - asking guests to try and avoid slamming their doors and making excessive noise. Common sense ? Yes, but it would have a positive impact and would surely reduce the excess noise somewhat - which most guests would appreciate. The hotel should also seriously consider installing springs on all the entry doors to the individual suites - thereby making the doors close slowly and thereby impossible to slam. That would also be appreciated by most guests. For me, there's nothing better than a hotel with super quiet rooms. (This is my 6th year to Queenstown, and until this year, I've always stayed in backpacker accommodation which is fairly noisy. But that's to be expected and you get what you pay for. So when I stay in a fairly expensive hotel, I expect more.) In summarizing, the hotel was great, and aside from the 3 nights with the really noisy guests, I had a great time and I'd stay there again. ...read more

Excellent staff. I needed a transformer to convert from my US laptop to NZ voltage and they happily provided it.
Nothing really.

For the price I paid, it was an excellent hotel, in the very best location in Queenstown (2 minute walk from the town center and lake).

The hotel staff was extremely helpful in all aspects of stay.
I felt compelled to have to tip everytime we asked for help.

The hotel is a great location to all the shopping stores and restaurants. It has a beautiful view of the water and mountains. The hotel staff is very helpful and knew the area well.

Simon, the concierge, was very helfpful and friendly. He was young and was able to direct us to restaurants and activities that we liked.

Very clean, great location, very helpful and friendly staff! Everything was in walking distance. The restaurant was good, too!

High quality hotel in convenient city center location.
Did not provide any breakfast with reservations.

High quality hotel in a great central location within Queenstown. Wonderful views of the water and very friendly and helpful staff in arranging unique outings.

Friendly, helpful staff, spacious attractive rooms, incredible view from lobby.
Breakfast seemed pricey and it was easy to slip into a higher price level than intended.

Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. Sleek and modern yet friendly, and the lobby area offered fun, plush seating with great decor and a view not to be missed.

The views from the room were spectacular! The location made it easy to do everything desired in Queenstown on foot.

We were thrilled with our entire stay and could not have found a better hotel in Queenstown - even a more expensive room elsewhere would not have been as great as the experience we had.

Bright, fresh, clean, good location, modern and large rooms.

Good lounge area spaces and bar. Very nicely appointed rooms and bathroom. Recently refurbished and it shows. The hotel was lovely. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Very convenient location. My room did not face the lake and was very quiet. Lots of natural light.
