Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Phoenix Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Guaranteed parking. Feels secure, especially for being in the Tenderloin. Friendly and attentive staff. Pool. Quiet.

Good location to Union / Market and Vaness for Bart/Muni (even though the walk might seem sketchy close by, it is harmless, and you are going to see that no matter where you stay around Union and Civic Center ).

Cool, mod hotel converted from 60's motor court. Clean, funky decor, free coffee and muffins in the morning. popular Saturday and Sunday hangout (no afternoon napping!). Free parking (all the time?), but also easy to walk down to Market and catch Bart/Muni. (or over to Vaness for bus ) Many great and popular asian restaurants nearby.

The vibe of the hotel is really good. The rooms are cool, the staff is friendly, and there's free parking during your stay. The restaurant is awesome too!

The hotel had a unique style; a nice change of pace.
I was charged twice for my room. Once from Priceline and once from The Phoenix Hotel. The room was extremely over priced to begin with. I'm waiting for some answers.

The location was 2 blocks away from a wedding we attended. The restaurant/bar was very nice. Good food and convenient
It was loud at night with the bar being so close but tneded to quiet down past midnight. The room doors are quite close to each other and when the next door opens or shuts it feels like it is your room's door opening. Weird.

It was fine for an average room. Bathroom was small but clean. Loud at night. Good restaurant attached to hotel. Walking distance to many stores. I don't know if I would stay there again, though. I would go with a more quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Free parking, free spa passes ($25 value per person) to Japanese spa (FYI: coed/non-nude only on Tuesdays), free breakfast muffins/coffee/tea, and free DVD rentals. If you use all those free services, it's a good value. Hip, stylish, but not romantic.
Many homeless people in the area, thin walls means less sound privacy, free breakfast muffins were slightly stale and in limited supply.

A good hotel for young, trendy couples or solos. Not good for business, families, or seniors. Great location near many Vietnamese restaurants. Free parking and spa passes are the strongest selling points for this hotel.
