The service a the Stamford is excellent. People in all departs are helpful and friendly. However, the rooms are extremely dated- no pics on walls, ugly blue carpet, bulletin board on the wall. In no way is this a five star hotel due to the room conditions. The lobby and gym area are nice and so is the restaurant. But until the guest rooms are renovated throughout the hotel, the Stamford should be rated as 3.5 stars. ...

It would have been nice to have at least one smoking area. Had to go down the elevator and outside to have a cigarette.
